Someone else suggested, “It has to be the owner of Carter Tech City. Who else would warrant such a grand
display?”
A pin-drop silence loomed over the scene as everyone stared at the car expectantly. Even the people who had
already passed through the gates into the city leaned over the barrier and waited to see what would happen next.
The car slowly accelerated forward and seemed like it was going to run over Caprice.
“Caprice, get up!” Moses’ frantic shout shattered the silence.
It was only then that people noticed Caprice still doubled over on the ground, and they began to point at her and
laugh.
She tried to use a fake ticket to enter the city, then she obstructed the city owner’s entry into the city. They
expected the security to haul her out of here like the pest she was.
As they thought about her misery, the security forces began approaching her when they noticed that she was in the
way.

Contrary to his fine and dignified appearance, he was wearing a deep scowl. There was a terrifying gloom on his
face that struck fear in people’s hearts.
The moment he appeared, his mere presence sucked the air out of the space around him. Everyone subconsciously
held their breaths.
He strode forward and stepped past the security guards to approach the girl who was keeled over on the ground.
He bent over and extended his toned hands like a Messiah. He took the girl’s shoulders and helped her to her feet.
Everyone was flabbergasted.
Nobody could have seen this coming, and the collective shock was completely indescribable.
Freya, Moses, and even the ones who were hoping to see Caprice punished such as Kenneth and Jonathan were
stunned by what they were seeing.
Freya’s jaw dropped to the ground. She remembered this man! His name was Liam! He was the man who had
shown up at the nightclub on Caprice’s birthday!
Moses looked at Liam who held Caprice tenderly, feeling a mixture of shock and confusion.
Kenneth’s complexion turned a ghastly white, and he was completely floored.
As for Jonathan, the moment he got a closer look at Liam, his eyes grew wider than humanly possible as all the
color was drained out of his face.
Before everyone could recover from their stupor, Caprice threw herself into the arms of what seemed to be the
owner of Carter Tech City and bawled her eyes out.
“Liam…”
Instead of shoving her away, the magnanimous man carried her in his arms like a groom holding a bride. This
effortless motion was followed by a swooping gaze that washed over the entire crowd
in an instant.
Moses held his breath.
Kenneth and Jonathan stepped backward defensively.
Most of the people who were making fun of Caprice only moments ago staggered backward as
well.

footage and identify the person who shoved her to the ground as well as every single person who stepped over her
without bothering to help her.”
“Yes, sir.” The assistant asked cautiously. “Sir, what should we do with them?”
Liam spoke with ice in his voice, “Call the police.”
Was he trying to get them arrested? His assistant was caught off guard by this but knew better than to object. “Yes,
sir, consider it done.”
Liam went into the car, carrying Caprice the entire while. The door closed with a steady thud.
Everyone had not recovered from their shock yet.
Nobody spoke.
Meanwhile, the ones who knew that they had stepped over Caprice just now quickly grew nervous.
Moses stared transfixed at the luxury car with its tinted mirrors.
Kenneth, Jonathan, and everyone else who had been making fun of Caprice had all of their cockiness evaporated in
an instant.
The owner of Carter Tech City was someone who knew Caprice, and he had carried her into the car like a princess.
This was more than enough proof that Caprice never needed a ticket to enter the city in the first place…
Inside the security room, Heather witnessed everything, especially the part where Liam carried Caprice in his arms.
She turned pale with a bitter sting of jealousy and rage boiling inside her.
She hurriedly turned around and walked out through the back door of the security room.
