Chapter 84 Do You Believe My Explanation?

When Madelline heard this, she pushed Nicholas away and said, “Nicholas, you can go home with Nancy. I can take

care of myself.”

Madelline said deliberately, looking very generous.

Nicholas frowned and asked, “Are you sure you can?”

Madelline said calmly, “I’m used to being alone anyway. So, it’s not a big deal. I’ll get through it every night.”

“I know you’re married and have a family. While me, I’m just a cripple, and my existence will only bother you.”

“I’m sorry, I won’t look for you again. Then…”

She bit her lip and looked at Nancy pitifully. “In the future, she’ll never find my fault or target me again.”

Nancy stopped when she heard that.

She wondered why Madelline was so calm today and didn’t trap her..

“Madelline, what do you mean? What does this matter have to do with Nancy?” Nicholas quickly realized something

“Explain it.” Nicholas was angry and stared at Madelline coldly.

Madelline said pitifully, “The reason I went to this restaurant today was to replace Mia in ant arranged marriage.

That man was her blind date.”

“What does this have to do with Nancy?”

“Because…” Madelline bit her lip and looked innocent, “Alice and I met Nancy and her friend. while shopping a few

days ago. They induced me to buy a 700-thousand-dollar ring. I had not money, so I had to borrow money from

Mia. In exchange, I went on a blind date for Mia.”

“I know I was unlucky. But without the trap of buying the ring, I would not have borrowed money from Mia, nor

He was so eager to know the truth.

He wanted to tell himself that Nancy was not an aggressive and unreasonable girl.

Or is he just wanted to clear Madelline’s name?

Nancy let go of Nicholas’ hand and said sarcastically, “Nicholas, it’s not important whether it’s true. or not. What’s

important is that you believe Madelline.”

“You dare to say that your question was not an accusation against me?”

“Since you already believe her, I have nothing to say.”

Nicholas grabbed her hand and seriously replied in a low voice, “What if I want to listen to your explanation?”

Nancy looked at him calmly.

Her voice was even calmer without any fluctuation. But I don’t want to explain it anymore.”

“Nicholas, let me go. I’m tired and want to go home.”

Nancy sat in the car. Lynn was driving.

Nancy looked at the night sky from the car window, neither feeling sad nor happy, as if nothing. could stir up ripples

in her heart.

But Nancy didn’t know that Nicholas left right after she left that day.

For a whole week, Nancy and Nicholas didn’t see each other.

They have yet to speak on the phone, chat, or meet in person.

baby in her womb daily.

However, she was wrong.

That day, Nicholas was at work.

Lynn handed him the plan he had chosen for a long time and said, “Mr. Sallow, this is the plan for Ms. Madelline’s

birthday party. Please take a look.”

Nicholas took it over, flipped through it, pointed at one of them with his slender fingers, and said, “Use this!”

“Okay” Lynn nodded.

Lynn was supposed to do as he was told and done countless times.

But thinking about Nancy’s state that night, he still couldn’t help but speak, “Mr. Sallow, have you thought about it?

Do you want to hold such a sensational birthday party for Ms. Madelline? If Mrs. Sallow finds out, she’ll be very sad.”

Nicholas raised his eyelids and looked at him. “Since when did you care about her so much?”

“Mr. Sallow, I’m sorry. I’ve crossed the line.”

Lynn walked back, and Nicholas lay down on the sofa chair. He stretched out his hand and pressed the center of his

eyebrows hard but still felt pressure.

Sad?Will she be sad?

For a whole week, he didn’t contact Nancy, and Nancy didn’t contact him either.

Not to mention a phone call, not even a text message.

Nicholas took his phone and opened WhatsApp, but their chat remained last week.

Three days ago, Madelline met Nicholas and said her birthday was coming soon. She wanted to have a grand and

luxurious birthday party.

Nicholas quickly agreed.

First, he wanted to compensate for the harm she had suffered in the past few days.

Secondly, he wanted to see how Nancy would react when she found out about this.

Knowing this, Nicholas dialed Lynn’s phone and asked him to come.

Lynn came in soon. Nicholas looked at him and said, “I need you to do something. Tell Mrs. Sallow I’ll hold a birthday

party for Madelline and see her reaction.”

“Mr. Sallow, are you sure?”

“I’m sure. You can go now.”

Lynn immediately put down what he was doing and drove to meet Nancy.

When Nancy heard the doorbell, she immediately thought that Nicholas was back.

It had been a week since she hasn’t seen him. Nancy couldn’t imagine what would happen and what her feelings

would be like when they met again.

But one thing she cannot deny is that she misses him so much..

Nancy took a deep breath and opened the door with trembling hands.
