Brian glanced down into her eyes and tightened his hold on her.

Turning his attention to the attacker, he found the man pinned to the floor by Edwin, his hands

immobilized and his voice shrill with pain.

“Edwin, handle this,“ Brian commanded in a hushed tone, striding away with Rosalynn still cradled in

his arms.

Hutton rushed to catch up with Brian as he saw him leaving with Rosalynn, but was stopped by

Valeria’s firm grip on his arm.
