Chapter 733
A ring?
Johanna's eyes narrowed. So it only took them days from eating together to choosing rings together?
Anger rose in Johanna's heart, and she struck Timothy with the blanket.
Timothy jerked at the unexpected assault. He shot up instantly, looking at Johanna in confusion, but the
latter threw the blanket in her hand away and went into the dinette.
Timothy heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that Asel was still playing on her own and was not
frightened by what had happened. He grabbed his phone and followed after Johanna.
When he saw the messages Charlotte had sent, he was speechless. He ignored them and went into
the dinette.
“Since when did I say you could stay to eat here? You're just here to see Asel,” Johanna snapped once
he pulled out the chair opposite her.
“There are so many dishes. There's no way you can finish them alone,” Timothy replied, still sitting

Since the dishes were served and no one came in after him, Timothy knew immediately that Hector
was not joining them for lunch. He felt delighted.
After tasting the soup, he praised, “Mm! This soup is good.”
“Oh, really?” Johanna sneered.
Timothy frowned at the bitterness coming from Johanna, wondering if he had done something wrong
back at the greenhouse. However, he was certain that he had kept his temper under control. He had
not said anything offensive to Hector either.
Don't tell me she thinks I'm shameless for staying for lunch?
That was the only possibility Timothy could think of. He coughed dryly and continued eating as if he did
not hear her scoff.
Back when he was buying this house, Timothy had even asked the seller to find a cook who could
make a variety of food so Johanna and the baby could be well taken care of. The cook was
handsomely-remunerated.
When Timothy finally had the chance to taste the cooking, he thought it was worth paying tens of
thousands every month.
Ring! Someone called while he was eating.
Seeing that it was Charlotte, Timothy stole a glance at Johanna and put Charlotte on speaker. “What
do you want? I'm eating.”
“Timothy Jensen!” Charlotte roared. “I want you at General Hospital in ten minutes!”
Timothy was startled. “What for?”
“Just get here in ten minutes! I'll jump off from the rooftop if you don't get here in ten!”
The call ended.
Timothy regretted picking up Charlotte's call, but from her tone, it did not sound like she was joking, so
he had no choice but to put down his cutlery.
He took his phone and got up. “I'm going to the hospital,” he said, looking at Johanna.
She did not look back up. “I don't care. You don't have to come back anymore. You've already seen
Asel.”

Since Johanna's place was close to General Hospital, it only took Timothy a short while before he
reached via the tunnel. When he arrived, he gave Charlotte a call and went to the inpatient department.
She was standing outside Jeremiah's ward but kept peering inside through the window in the door.
When she heard footsteps and saw that it was Timothy, she quickly ran over, grabbing and dragging
him around the corner. “I was choosing a ring, and then my dad came to the hospital to see your dad.
My dad told Mr. Jeremiah that it was about time they chose a date for our wedding. Both of them
seemed to agree on the idea,” she informed him nervously.
“Come on! Do something!” she urged while gripping his arm tightly.
He pried her hand away and said, “You're the one who got us into this mess. Who asked you to drag
me along when your dad asked you to bring your boyfriend?”
“Who asked you to pick up his video call at the rooftop garden the other day?” Charlotte retorted. “Just
so you know, I'm not the one in hot water right now. I have nothing to lose if I marry you. After all, your
family is rich, and our union will benefit my family's company. You, on the other hand, had better think
about your baby daughter. She's getting a stepmother if we get married!”
