Chapter 901
As Genevieve didn't see any bloodstains on Armand's shirt, she figured he was simply bruised and didn't follow him
to the hospital.
While making her way toward the car, she had a strange feeling that she was being watched by a cold pair of eyes.
However, she saw no one when she looked around her.
That was when she got a phone call from James asking her to sign a few documents at the office.
Genevieve then retracted her gaze and got into her car.
She spent the rest of the day at the office and went home at around five in the evening. Steven had already
brought the kids home by the time she returned to the mansion.
They had a lot of fan picking tons of fruits at the orchard earlier that day. As Amanda mentioned that she liked
rabbits, Steven took her to a farm and bought her two rabbits.

After washing her hands clean, Amanda made her way to the living room and said, “Mom! Mr. Valentine hasn't
called me in a long time!”
Since her return to Chanaea, Jack would give her a call every few days.
Huh, this reminds me... I haven't seen Jack ever since I left Dartan. He hasn't given me a single phone call either. I
tried calling him twice, but Lilian answered both of those calls. Although Jack doesn't exactly treat me well, he has
been very nice to the kids, so I don't want to ruin their image of him.
Since Amanda missed Jack a lot, Genevieve tried giving him a call.
The call got through seconds later, and Lilian's voice came on the other line. “Hello.”
“Sorry to bother you, but Jack hasn't called Amanda in a while. She really misses him,” Genevieve said
apologetically.
Lilian went silent for a while before saying softly, “All right, you can put Amanda on the phone.”
Genevieve handed Amanda the phone while Lilian passed Jack's phone over to him.
Amanda told Jack that she wanted to study in Chanaea because of how fan it was. She also asked Jack when he
would come to visit her. Jack said he was busy with work and would go see her as soon as he was free.
The two of them chatted for a little while longer before Jack said he had to go and ended the call.
Noticing the pout on Amanda's face when she handed the phone back, Genevieve patted her head and asked,
“What's wrong? Was the chat with Mr. Valentine unpleasant?”
“No.” Amanda shook her head.
She wanted to tell Genevieve that she heard someone crying while she was speaking to Jack but held her tongue as
she felt it wasn't very appropriate.
Seeing as it was almost eight in the evening, Genevieve said, “I don't think your daddy is coming home tonight.
What would you like to have for dinner?”
Amanda's face fell when she heard that. “Is Daddy that busy?”
Genevieve didn't want to tell her about Armand's injury as she didn't want to worry her. Their conversation was then
interrupted by the sound of the doorbell.

Amanda's eyes lit up with excitement as she leaped off the couch and ran toward the door. She threw herself at
Armand's leg the moment she saw him.
Armand handed the groceries in his hand over to the housekeeper before picking Amanda up with one arm.
“It's been a while since I last saw you. Did you miss me?” he asked while giving her a kiss on the cheek.
Amanda wrapped her arms around his neck and gave him a few kisses in return. “Yup! I missed you so much!”
Recalling that he had injured his left shoulder, Genevieve quickly took Amanda over from him and asked with a
frown, “Why did you come back so soon?”
“The doctor said I'm fine.” Armand then gave Amanda a little pinch on the nose as he continued, “Mandy said she
wanted to have beef meat pie, so I came home to make it for her.”
Amanda let out a cheer before asking worriedly, “Daddy, are you injured?”
Armand flashed her a faint smile. “No, I just had a little cough. I'll also be making a cheesecake later. Do you want
some?”
Amanda nodded profusely. “Yes, I do!”
