Chapter 1027 Make A Fuss

At six in the evening, the driver opened the car door at the entrance to the venue.

Ning Ran, in a white dress, got out of the vehicle. She looked like a fairy.

As Nan Chen was waiting by the door, his expression changed slightly when he spotted her.

She's not wearing the dress I chose for her. This one is more informal and bright.

Ning Ran applied light makeup and did not adorn herself with heavy accessories; she was only wearing a simple

necklace.

“Don't I look good in this?”

Cheng Xiangyun suggested Ning Ran wear the pearl so she could subdue Luo Zhiyi's grandeur.

Initially, she agreed with Cheng Xiangyun, but later, she found it unnecessary.

If she were to wear the pearl, it would be like flaunting her wealth since those who would attend the banquet were

dignitaries.

Only the rich would flaunt their wealth; she did not need to do so.

It would be normal to wear pearls on occasions like award ceremonies.

Hence, she figured it would be better to go for a lighter appearance.

Luo Zhiyi stared at Nan Chen with warmth, but as her eyes landed on Ning Ran beside him, her gaze hardened.

Taking initiative, Ning Ran greeted, “Hello, Ms. Luo.”

“Hello, Ms. Ning,” Luo Zhiyi replied, forcing a smile.

As they approached Luo Zhiyi, Ning Ran tightened her hold around Nan Chen's arm.

Luo Zhiyi must have arrived early as she told Nan Chen which guests had arrived and which ones were still on the

way.

Ning Ran did not know the people Luo Zhiyi just mentioned, as she never intervened in Nan Chen's work.

On the other hand, Luo Zhiyi was an executive in a multinational company. Her social network was beyond

comparison for someone like Ning Ran, who had just risen as an actress.

Ning Ran was aware of this.

As Luo Zhiyi had experience in the international field, she possessed a vision and viewpoint that were more

extensive than other women, which made her a typical female elite.

However, Ning Ran had no way to confirm whether the journey of Luo Zhiyi becoming an elite was through her own

efforts or family resources.

She was Judy, the actress who won the Best Actress award at an Oscar for her performance in the science fiction

movie, Boundless.

At an award ceremony previously, Judy was the one who greeted Ning Ran first, and she had even expressed her

wish to collaborate.

Ning Ran did not expect Judy would be there. Even though she was not at the same level as the latter, Ning Ran was

happy that a fellow actress was present.

“Hello, Judy. I'm happy to see you again. Welcome to China,” greeted Ning Ran as she approached Judy.

Seeing Ning Ran, Judy walked toward her. “Hello, Ning.”

The two embraced each other. “I cried when Nan Chen proposed to you. Your love is so beautiful. I also want such

love.”

Smiling, Ning Ran uttered, “Thank you. You will have one too.”

“Then can I hug your man? He's the most handsome man I've ever laid eyes on.”

“Of course, you can. Actually, there are many more handsome men like him in our country. He's ordinary.”

“Really? Will I be able to meet someone like him, then?”

Ning Ran thought of a man who looked similar to Nan Chen but was a playboy. He was currently entangled in a

complex relationship with Lu Jingyuan, so others might not have a chance.

With Judy's appearance, those from abroad surrounded her and greeted her.

Most of the guests were fans of Judy, as they had watched Boundless.

As a result, Judy introduced Ning Ran to her foreign friends, complimenting the latter as the most beautiful actress

Slowly, Ning Ran opened up to them and informed them that her movie would soon be released internationally.

Rong Yi was also popular. Despite not being as well-known as Nan Chen in the business circle, he was a renowned

pianist.

With Nan Chen as the host of the event, Ning Ran did not expect that Rong Yi would be there.

If other members of the Rong family knew about this, Rong Yi would be criticized once again.

She was wearing high heels, so she felt tired.
