Chapter 1055 I Only Trust Him
Only if they can get back together as a married couple and stay by my side every day…
Julia felt distressed and heartbroken. Her heart ached for Elisa, who sacrificed greatly for Gareth over the years but
received nothing in return.
She was also annoyed at Gareth for being ungrateful toward Elisa.
He's receiving his punishment now. He actually likes Elisa, but Elisa's heart is no longer with him now. Serves him
right!

Gareth, the punk. I don't mind, even if she wants to beat him up to vent her resentment! Oh, dear… Or, Gareth
might pursue Elisa back after experiencing a heavy blow…
Julia was frustrated because she had thousands of words to say, yet she couldn't.
"Okay, okay… Let's go." She grumbled reluctantly.
Elisa held her hand as they went downstairs.
After getting into the car, Julia refused to let go of Elisa's hand. She shot a glare at Gareth and complained, "Why do
you have to send me for a checkup when Elisa is around? Can't you be more observant?"
Gareth's face darkened, but he did not respond and continued driving.
Elisa answered with a smile, "Grandma, the checkup is important. I'm here with you anyway, right?"
Julia pouted like a child and groaned, "That's different. You can't go in with me during the checkup."
"I'll be with you," Elisa replied seriously.
She was not telling a lie because she wanted to see the result immediately in case there was any mishap.
Julia heaved a sigh and stared at Gareth's cold, attractive face. "If the doctor in charge of my checkup is
unavailable, other doctors can do it too. Why do we have to accommodate his schedule?"
Julia was usually not a grumbler, but Elisa was always occupied and rarely had a chance to visit her, so she was
upset to go for the checkup while Elisa was around.
Gareth answered indifferently, "I only trust him." His response remained short and cold.

Elisa attempted to distract Julia. "Look, grandma. These are your favorite flowers."
Julia looked toward where Elisa pointed and was surprised. "Oh, I did not notice they planted these flowers by the
roadside."
Elisa smiled. "It might be Grandpa's instruction. He dotes on you a lot…"
Elisa felt stronger guilt as she said that. If Julia did not frequently argue with Darren for her sake, she wouldn't have
to been infuriated often, which caused her condition to deteriorate…
Elisa took a deep breath as her eyes turned red-rimmed.
