Chapter 970 Enjoy the Show
Time flew fast. It was the day of their court hearing.
For a few days, Norman's family anticipated Elisa would be open for a discussion.
Elisa had wholly ignored their attempts to contact her.
They were worried but didn't believe Elisa could do anything deceitful to the contract. They thought it was a scare
tactic.
So…
The solution they eventually came up with was to keep waiting. If push came to shove, they would go to court. After
all, the family had already damaged their reputation, and everyone knew what had happened. Whether they paid
or not, people would talk. It was better for them to enjoy the benefits and demonstrate their power so that others

And so, amidst their internal conflict, the day of the trial came.
Elisa had already taken her seat.
Meanwhile, Norman had sought out an elite lawyer who had been very confident in the contract's validity. He didn't
believe there were any issues.
He began to feel uneasy after learning that Elisa opted to represent herself.
The judge was ready.
Naturally, Charli and Rachel came and sat in the audience seats. Rachel's eyes were filled with excitement.
Rachel expressed, "This is great! We get to see Elisa in court again, and she always looks so cool at times like
these!" She had an overly excited expression.
Charli chuckled, "You can do it too in the future."
Rachel sighed helplessly. She replied, "Elisa is an expert. I don't expect to catch up to her. I'll be satisfied with just
one-fifth of her ability!"
Charli couldn't help but smile. However, she also knew there weren't many geniuses like Elisa. Charli thought that
even the most eloquent lawyer couldn't compare to her.
What Rachel said is true because being on par with one-fifth of Elisa's expertise would make a person a formidable
lawyer.
The judge sat in the main seat and nodded to the person beside him. That person instantly understood and spoke to
the crowd, "Let's begin."
Since Elisa was the plaintiff, she naturally had to speak first.
Elisa glanced lightly at Norman sitting across from her and spoke confidently into the microphone, "The defendant
has been holding onto my shares without returning them. Today, I am suing for the return of the shares and the

"Please allow the defendant to make a statement," said the judge.
Norman's lawyer refuted, "The plaintiff's argument is wrong. The shares were not being held but rather were
transferred previously. The plaintiff has no right to retrieve them."
As he spoke, Norman's lawyer pulled out the contract.
Elisa remained calm as she said, "That contract is full of loopholes and is invalid. I had temporarily loaned it to my
uncle to help him manage the company and give him some authority. However, over time, Norman seemed to
forget who the shares belonged to and is holding onto them with this flawed contract."
Rachel gritted her teeth and whispered, "Elisa must be furious, or else she wouldn't have brought this up in front of
so many people. It's a family matter, and Norman has no shame. He's holding onto something that doesn't belong
to him, and this company isn't even his. How can he be this shameless?!"
Rachel was angry on Elisa's behalf. She found it hard to express her rage.
Charli couldn't help but laugh and said, "Elisa won't let him get away with this. Just sit back and enjoy the show."
Rachel smiled and said, "You're right!"
