Chapter 311 Noelle wondered if he was staying with the company. She thought about what he had said earlier regarding the future prospects. Would they be working on this project together? Cedric's cool voice cut through her thoughts. "Am I not welcome?" Standing at the head of the conference table, he looked composed, but a subtle intensity gleamed in his eyes. Noelle snapped out of her daze. "Of course, you're welcome. It's just..." "Just what?" he pressed.
"Just unexpected," she admitted. She couldn't help but wonder why he had suddenly decided to change jobs and cto Yasnia.
In her past life, Cedric hadn't stayed a school doctor for long, either. He had likely resigned and joined Maple Enterprise to start his own business.
Now that she thought about it, Cedric's life path hadn't really changed. The one who had changed was her.

If they hadn't met in the infirmary, it seemed unlikely that he would be using an alternate account to play games. She then realized that the person playing on that account before might very well have been Magnus.
As she connected the dots, she finally understood why he had always refused when she suggested meeting him. He must have been trying to hide his identity. After gathering her things, Noelle left Maple Enterprise.
Cedric watched her leave, picked up a pen, and signed his non the contract. Alfred glanced at him.
"Are you personally setting her up with a future billion-dollar company? That's quite the gesture." The Al project had immense potential. With Cedric quietly backing it, the project would likely succeed and go public.
If it did, Noelle could beca multimillionaire partner in no time, and she would only be 20 years old when that happened.
"Have you never seen real wealth before? This is hardly a big deal," Cedric said, staring at Noelle's delicate handwriting on the contract.
He had noticed Noelle's attitude earlier. She was keeping her distance from him. Before the accident, Noelle had been so reliant on him.
Cedric placed the contract in the safe and coldly said, "Send a demand letter to Liddell Corporation." Though he hadn't been at the scene today, he knew what had happened. Yet, he hadn't expected Noelle to plan everything herself. She had grown a lot since then.
After returning to the dorm, Noelle went straight to the gym to practice boxing. However, her punches lacked their usual precision. Her mind kept wandering to Cedric's resignation.
She found it hard to believe that he was really staying in Yasnia. She had assumed that they wouldn't have many chances to meet again once he left.

Do swarm-ups, and don't spar, so you don't get injured!" Noelle nodded and drank swater as she rested. After returning to her dorm, she changed into new clothes and got ready to head to the team's base for a meeting. After all, she was now the captain of the team.
Grace saw her emerge from the bathroom. "Tianna and I alreadym discussed the team's issues and made a list. Check it out when you get there," she said. "You've already had a meeting?" Noelle asked.
Grace nodded. "Yeah, we knew you had work this afternoon. The base is a mess, so Tianna and I took the lead." "Thanks. I'm guessing our biggest issue is the Merlocks pulling their sponsorship?" Noelle inquired.
"Exactly. Other sponsors were lined up, but it seems the Merlocks got to them. They all pulled out, too," Grace replied.
Noelle wasn't surprised by the news.
When Noelle arrived at the basem and at there weren't many people there. It n felt very quiet and empty. Tianna spoke up. "Samantha's made it clear-anyone who stays with the team is going against her and the business school." Noelle smirked. "I have a way to handle this. How much more do we need?"
