What Serenity’s aunt was saying was nothing more than an attempt to whitewash the crimes and guilt
of what her relatives had done to her. Still, no matter what they said to her, it seemed like she did not
even hear it at all. She just stared blankly at her grandmother who was lying on the hospital bed.
The only person in this world she cared about was her grandmother,
Suddenly, she noticed her grandmother’s lips moving, almost as if she was mumbling about something
in her coma. Serenity leaned down close to her grandmother’s lips, and she froze when she realized
that her grandmother was mumbling the names of her uncles and aunt.
Serenity stood up straight without saying a word and left the room. Her uncles wives followed her,
urging her to promise them that she would withdraw the case.
“What right do you have to demand me to withdraw the case?” She snapped back coldly. “None of you

“You cold-hearted beast!” her aunt yelled. “Don’t you feel guilty at all for what you’ve done to your
grandma?”
“That’s my business, not yours! At least I’ve never done anything wrong to you, yet it was your

Her aunt was so choked up with fury that she could not say a word.
Serenity then left the hospital without looking back. One of her aunts tried to chase after her, but the
others stopped her, saying. “Don’t provoke her! You know she has a powerful man supporting her right
now! We simply can’t afford to offend her, or she might try to get a harsher sentence for our family!
What are we going to do then?!”
“I want to see if she dares!”
“Oh, it’s not the question of whether or not she dares to do it! What could you do to her if she does?! In
fact, she might even make the police arrest you and lock you up tool”
Hearing this, her other aunt shrank. She was enraged but also terrified and eventually decided against
going after Serenity.
Serenity hailed a cab to go back to Solaria. She ended up spending half of the time that evening on the

If foregoing this justice meant getting rid of the agony her grandmother was suffering and helping her
get better, she would gladly forego it!
At noon, Serenity picked up her phone and stared at a number. It was the number Jack had gotten the
day after she had bought him a mobile phone,
