In desperation, Serenity could only call the number with faint hope.
The call went through, but no one picked up. All she could hear was the beeping tone.
But she would not give up just yet. She called the number for a second time, then a third time…

“No problem,” Xyla replied with full readiness. “You helped me back when I took a leave in the past,
after all.”
Serenity smiled in response, full of gratefulness, even though her heart was still heavy.
