“I like it,” Serenity answered in a low mormor. Women would always like pretty things. How could she
not like a gorgeous dress like this? But… “This dress wasn’t cheap, was it? I feel like it would be a
waste if 1 only wore it once. She meant to say that she would have chosen a cheaper dress.
Jackson, however, replied after hearing her comment, “If that’s the case, accompany me to a few more
functions. Don’t worry. It won’t be a waste.”
Serenity choked, feeling lost for words.
Jackson held Serenity’s hand. “Alright. Let’s go.”

On the way, Serenity could not help studying Jackson’s look for the night. Jackson looked fresh and
radiant, dressed in an immaculate black suit, white shin, and dark purple tie. The look suited him
perfectly.
His perfect face looked like it was chiseled by the gods, his hair slicked back neatly, showing his
beautiful forehead.
Unbuttoning the collar of his shirt would reveal the sexy collarbone underneath. Serenity pondered over
it and could not resist imagining the shape of his collarbone in her mind.
Serenity found Jackson’s collarbone incredibly beautiful. Never once would she have thought of
describing a man’s collarbone as beautiful, but it seemed like the perfect word to describe him.
Serenity’s cheeks grew hot as the memory of that night resurfaced in her mind. She could not help
thinking about it. She had never thought of herself as the type to judge a book by its cover, but his
beauty simply made her marvel at it.

difference in temperature contrasted with the strong heat on her cheek.
“It’s probably… too bot in the car.” Serenity made up some random excuse and looked away, trying to
avoid his gaze. However, his fingers gently lifted her chain, semi–forcing her to look at him.
“Why aren’t you looking at me?” Jackson said
“N–no. It’s nothing,” Serenity denied sheepishly. She grew even more guilty when her gaze met his

seems to be saying something. You feel shy looking at me. Why? Are you thinking about me?”
He was right on the mark Serenity bit her lips slightly, not knowing how to refute it. He seemed to read
her mind so easily,
