Serenity finished washing her hands and was drying them with a paper towel when she noticed a figure walk up to
her from
behind.
The other person was just as surprised as she was. “Serenity? What are you doing here?!”
Serenity never thought she would bump into Liliana here. Instead of the suit she used to wear, she was dressed
more like at janitor.
“What? Is there a problem with me being here?” snapped Serenity harshly.
Ever since Liliana had assigned her case to the newcomers at the firm, the seed of hatred had been sowed deep in
Serenity’s heart.
Back then, she used to think Liliana was just pettler than her other colleagues, but her “cruelty” turned out to be far

Liliana glared angrily at Serenity. It was now her turn to be the laughingstock of the firm. From an attorney, she had
been demoted to a janitor. All this had happened thanks to Serenity.
Who would have expected Lucas to retallate for her sake?
On the second day, she was ordered by her boss into the office, where she was presented with two options. She
could either resign from her job or be transferred to some other department. For now, she would be working as a
janitor. As for where she would be assigned next, things remained uncertain.
She struggled for half a day before finally choosing the second option. After all, she hadn’t found a new firm yet. If
she suddenly announced that she had resigned from her job, she would feel humiliated in front of her boyfriend and
relatives.
Although she was working as a janitor, apart from her company, no one else knew about it. The sooner she found a
suitable law firm, the sooner she could leave this place.
Still, she never thought she would bump into Serenity today.
Liliana’s hatred for her grew as they came face–to–face, and she recalled the fact that Serenity was some she used

close to him, aren’t you?” asked Liliana in an attempt to dig out an answer that she wanted to hear.
Serenity responded with a cold voice. “Get out of the way.”
How could Liliana just move over so easily? “Answer me first. See for yourself, the state I’m in today. I’m suffering,

To her dismay, Serenity wasn’t taking her balt. She walked around Liliana and headed for the door of the bathroom.
This time, Jillana started to panic. She yelled out to her, “Aren’t you the reason why Lucas broke up? It’s because
you were the third wheel in their relationship that Lucas broke up with his partner. Don’t you have a boyfriend? How
can you face him after what you’ve done?”
Serenity’s footsteps came to an abrupt halt. Sie felt Lilliana had crossed the line, so she turned around and warned
her, “If you continue running your mouth like that, I’m going to sue you for defamation!”
“What’s the matter? I’m right, aren’t 17″ Liliana was delighted by her reaction. “I wonder if Lucas knows that you
have at boyfriend. I never thought you’d turn out to be a two–timing whelt guess all those years in prison made you
lose your sense of shame…”
“Smark!”
