Chapter 398
Chapter 398:
Khloe remained composed, her expression cool and unshaken. Tilting her gaze slightly, she spoke with the same
calmness as before. “Good. Give it your best shot.”
Barth, true to his word, gave it his all. Striding to Dunham’s desk, he picked up a sheet of paper and a pen,
meticulously sketching an intricate statistical chart alongside a detailed line graph. Carefully annotating every
piece of data, he then handed it over to Khloe.
His sharp gaze locked onto hers as he spoke. “This represents the international gold price trends over the past
five years, including the most recent data up to last month.”
A spark of intrigue lit up in Khloe’s eyes. “Interesting. And what is it you want from me?”
“I want you to predict the precise closing price of the international gold market today.”
Barth's request sent a ripple of excitement through the crowd of students and teachers gathered nearby.
The forum erupted in hushed discussions.
“Are you serious? Predicting the closing price of the international gold market? There are way too many variables

“Even though I'm not a fan of Khloe and her constant self-promotion, this is just unfair. Asking such an
impossible question is out of line!”
“So, this is the real Barth? He'll go to any lengths just to win!”
At that moment, an elderly professor from Zhecrora University furrowed his brow, his eyes brimming with
disapproval as he glared at Barth. “Ridiculous! Barth, how can you expect her to predict something like that? It's
as absurd as asking someone to guess the exact path of a single raindrop in a storm!”
“While it's challenging, it’s not impossible. I'm willing to write my prediction down on a slip of paper
beforehand.”
Despite the professor's skepticism, Barth remained firm, his unwavering gaze fixed on Khloe. “The choice is
yours, Khloe. You can decide whether or not to take on this challenge.”
Khloe didn’t respond immediately. Instead, she reached for a cup of water that had been placed on the podium.
Taking a slow sip, she finally smiled.
“Of course, | can answer. But waiting for the market to close in an hour sounds tedious. Why not make it more
interesting? Let's predict the price in five minutes. And if the price shifts by more than two cents, I'll concede
defeat.”
The classroom froze for a moment before erupting into chaos once again.
“Is Khloe out of her mind? Predicting the gold price in five minutes? That's as absurd as forecasting the weather
without any data!” Dunham exclaimed, his eyes wide with shock as he stared at her.
While predicting the closing gold price was challenging but plausible, forecasting its real-tfluctuations in
mere minutes bordered on the impossible.
Amid the crowd, a group of women murmured quietly among themselves. Polly, her hand partially covering her
mouth, leaned in and whispered, “Khloe is ridiculously full of herself. Predicting the gold price in five minutes? If
she gets it wrong, she’ll be a complete joke.”
Madeline bit her lip, glancing hesitantly at Khloe. “Maybe she has ssecret trick up her sleeve.”
“Oh, please, what could she possibly pull off? The odds of her winning are practically nonexistent. Predicting real-
tgold prices? Unless she has ssupernatural way to control the market, there's no chance. All I've ever
heard about her is that she cozies up to Henrik Watson, but other than that, she’s just a regular actress. Even the
Evans and Watson families don’t see her as his fiancée,” Polly scoffed, her tone dripping with contempt.
The old professor, visibly stunned, grew so furious that his beard quivered. He pounded the floor with his cane

You can’t just throw around such ridiculous claims!”
Barth was just as shocked. He had expected Khloe to take on a challenge, perhaps predicting the closing price,
but her boldness in suggesting real-tforecasting left him speechless. Even with his extensive knowledge of
finance and economics, he wouldn't dare make such a claim.
Frowning slightly, he said seriously, “Khloe, it wasn’t easy for you to earn a spot in the elite class. | suggest you
think twice and retract your words. I'm looking for a fair competition, not an excuse to overpower you.”
