He was sure that Crystal had Trevor on her side, so he mentioned what he wanted as soon as he saw

Trevor.

He felt that if he could throw Emma off the team, he would be on Crystal’s good side. With the Bateson

Group as their backup, the assistant director was confident that his team would be able to do anything

in the industry the next time around.

However, he did not expect that Trevor would roar at him with a solemn expression, “Get the out!”

The assistant director was taken aback.

What happened? Did Crystal nol put in a good word for me in front of him?

“No, Mr. Bateson…” The assistant director wanted to continue his words, but Joseph quickly stopped

him.

It was evident that Trevor was in a terrible mood. As they called Crystal earlier, they would talk about

this when she came later.

On the other hand, Emma said sofily to Cerys, “I’m fine.”

Then, she looked at Adam, who was lectured by his manager again. She choked slightly on her words,

“I just feel bad. I’m worried that I might drag him down with me.”

Emma did not expect that Adam would beat the assistant director up. She would not have wanted him

to come over to help her if she had known.

Cerys quickly comforted her, “Mr. Bateson has asked his people to suppress this matter. It won’t affcct

Adam. Don’t worry about it.”

To Cerys, she found it fortunate that her boss involved himself in this as Emma felt guilty, just like what

they expected.

After hearing that, Emma was stunned for a moment before she mocked, “Mr. Bateson is indeed

putting all his effort into protecting Crystal and helping her clean the mess she created.”

Cerys was speechless.

Didn‘t Mr. Bateson do all this to reduce Emma‘s guilt toward Adam?

Trevor strode toward them and heard that Emma assumed he did everything for Crystal. It irritated him

so much that it made him mad.

However, Emma could not be blamed for thinking that way. Now, everyone thought of Trevor and

Crystal as a pair, and Crystal’s image would directly impact the reputation of Trevor and Bateson

Group. If this matter blew up, it would tarnish Adam’s name, but if Crystal was identified as the

mastermind behind this incident, it would look bad for her too.

Emma could feel Trevor’s furious gaze, so she did not look at him deliberately.

She knew that Trevor hated her so much now. His fiancée would not have been involved if it was not

for her.

Although Trevor did help Adam because he suppressed this matter, Emma knew that the person he

wanted to protect was Crystal all along. Hence, Emma would not thank

him.

Crystal arrived soon after. She wore an elegant dress; her long hair made her appear gentle and

gorgeous.

She walked toward Trevor and held his arm gently, “Trevor, what happened?”

Trevor looked at Crystal’s innocent and confused expression while he withdrew his arm from her grasp

at the same time.

“Miss Sanders, please help us explain this to Mr. Bateson,” the assistant director said anxiously.

Crystal gritted her teeth and turned back to glare at him. “What can I help you guys to explain? Do I

know you guys?” |

At this moment, she was glad that she was an actress as it helped her to create a perfect show.

She did not want to act, but what could she do? It was not like she could just admit to everything in

front of so many people, right?

When Crystal planned this incident, she did not expect that Adam would be there to help Emma, nor

did she expect that he would beat someone up for her.

Now that this matter had blown up, she had to withdraw herself from the plan immediately.

Trevor looked at Crystal, saying, “He said that you ordered him to harass Emma just to drive her out of

the production team.”

Crystal was so angry that her shoulders began to tremble. “Such nonsense!”

“I don’t even know them. How could they slander me this way?” she asked and started to cry in

aggrievance.

She took the opportunity of wiping her tears to avoid Trevor’s gaze. He was terrifying, and he could see

right through anyone with his eyes.

“Miss Sanders, you…” the assistant director did not expect Crystal to deny his claims, which frustrated

him so much.

Joseph tugged the assistant director’s arm as a sign for him to shut his mouth.

Trevor had a temperament that allowed him to control the entire room. He stood in the center and

glanced at the people involved in this matter before he asked in a low voice, “How do you guys plan to

settle this?”

Emma and Adam kept quiet while the assistant director shouted, “I want Adam to apologize to me!”

He would not let Adam go after getting beaten up so badly.

Adam said fiercely, ignoring his manager’s words, “That’s impossible!”

Trevor ignored the two and looked toward Emma as he asked, “Miss Yates, what about you?”

“It doesn’t matter as long as it won’t affect Adam’s future. I can do anything, even apologizing to them.”

Emma just wanted this to end already. All she hoped for was that Adam would not be affected.

It did not matter that she was the victim. She could apologize to them, and she could let them go easily

as well.

To Emma, she did not have a choice because her assaulters had Crystal and Trevor backing them up.

She could not win against them. It was the same for Adam.

Trevor suddenly turned to look at the assistant director with a terrifying gaze. “From today onward, your

team won’t be employed for any productions under the Bateson Group. Now, tell me how the both of

you want to deal with this matter.”

The assistant director was stunned.
