Chapter 733
Patricia had been working for the White family since Robert's father was still alive. She had watched Tracy grow
from a child into the young woman she was today, so she felt especially protective of her.
"Mr. White, please don't hit the child! Can't we sit down and talk about whatever's bothering you?"
Robert looked at Tracy hiding behind Patricia with frustration, his voice trembling with anger. "Patricia, don't
shield her. Look what she's becyou've all spoiled her rotten."
Seeing she couldn't calm him down, Patricia stepped forward, blocking Robert's view while signaling to Tracy with
her eyes. "Run, quick!"
Tracy immediately dashed upstairs and locked herself in her room.
With no target left for his anger, Robert could only sigh heavily at Patricia. "You people will spoil her into serious
trouble one day."
Patricia smiled and brought out a bowl of soup from the kitchen. "I just made ssoup. Have sto cool your
temper."
Robert glanced at it and sank onto the sofa. "I won't drink it. How could | have any appetite now? I'm stuffed with

Patricia placed the soup on the table and quietly slipped outside to call Mrs. White. Seeing Robert's state, she
knew it would take tfor his anger to subside. Only Mrs. White could handle him effectively now.
When Mrs. White heard her daughter had nearly been beaten, she rushed hfrom her beauty salon.
Patricia was waiting at the door and quickly greeted her, taking her coat.
"Where's Tracy?" Mrs. White asked without breaking stride, her elegant eyebrows furrowed with concern.
Patricia reassured her, "Don't worry, ma'am. The young miss is fine, but she hasn't eaten lunch. Mr. White is
downstairs, and | didn't dare bring food up to her."
Mrs. White gave her a disapproving look. "She needs to eat. She's my only daughter."
She quickened her pace and entered the living room, where she saw her husband sitting on the sofa, still looking
grim.
Mrs. White hesitated briefly, then put on a smile. She walked softly behind him and placed her well-manicured
hands on his shoulders, massaging them with just the right pressure.
Smelling her familiar perfume, Robert reached up to hold her hand, his mood calming slightly. "You're back."
Mrs. White squeezed his hand and sat beside him. She asked gently, "Patricia toldeverything. Why were you
so angry today? Did something difficult happen at the company?"
Robert nodded gravely and explained the troubling situation in simplified terms before analyzing it further.
"The more | think about it, the stranger it seems. People have worked withfor years without finding anything
wrong. How could they all suddenly discover these loopholes at the stand demand almost identical
compensation terms?"
Mrs. White also grew tense. "Have you figured out what's going on?"
She seemed even more anxious about the company's problems than her husband.
Robert shook his head, then said suspiciously, "Could I have unknowingly offended someone important who's
now targeting me?"
Mrs. White quickly replied, "Our White Group may not match the Reynolds or Wilsons, but we're not someone
anyone can push around. There are only a few people with that kind of influence-think carefully and you'll figure
it out."
Outside the door, Tracy was nervously pressing her ear against it. Hearing her parents’ conversation, she
suddenly felt a wave of guilt.
