Chapter 376
"Are you asking why? This is Ms. Yolanda from Henderson Group. Do you need to ask?" Florence trembled with
anger.
"Your father is relying on Mr. Henderson's orders to pay the workers, and you, you fool, dare to provoke Ms.
Henderson? You should take a good look at yourself!"
Her reaction was swift, clearly establishing Yolanda's status with just a few words. "She... she's the daughter of
Mr. Henderson from Henderson Group?" Carrie was stunned. The other girls around her couldn't believe what
they had just heard.
They couldn't believe Harold's daughter would look so shabby. She wasn't even wearing any decent jewelry!
"Ms. Henderson is low profile, but that doesn't give you a reason to disrespect her!" The woman guessed what
the girls were thinking and shouted at them angrily, "Apologize to her now!"
"Ms. Henderson, I'm sorry!"

"Sorry!"
"l was wrong!"
The girls quickly apologized to Yolanda.
Although Carrie was reluctant, she lowered her head and said to Yolanda, "Ms. Henderson, I'm sorry. Please
forgive me."
Yolanda was interested in the changes on their faces but didn't say anything.
"Why are you still standing there? Go on, go!" Florence glared at the girls, having long been annoyed by them.
It irked her that Carrie liked to hang out with these girls who had never seen the world.
"Mom, I'll take my leave," Carrie said, embarrassed.
"Leave? Did Ms. Henderson give you her forgiveness?" Florence snapped.
Yolanda didn't care whether or not to forgive others, but today, they needed to appease her. Otherwise, their
family business would suffer.
A flicker of resentment crossed Carrie's eyes, but she quickly lowered her head and said nothing.
She was angry. Yolanda was just an unremarkable girl. How could she look down on her because she was from
the Henderson Group?
Carrie felt unwillingness brewing inside her. If her family's company were as large as Henderson Group's, Yolanda
wouldn't be so arrogant.
Carrie silently resented Yolanda but dared not show it to Florence.
"What's wrong with you? Why can't you speak properly?" Florence noticed
Carrie's sulky demeanor, which only fueled her anger further.
"Ms. Henderson, this child is spoiled; please don't hold it against her."
"It's fine." Yolanda wouldn't take it out on anyone. Although Carrie was spoiled and willful, Florence hadn't done
anything wrong.
She wouldn't make things difficult for the Johnstons over such a trivial matter; otherwise, it would be no different
from those bullies from the upper class.
"You're magnanimous, Ms. Henderson!" Florence sighed in relief. Although Yolanda didn't show much expression,
Florence could tell that Yolanda wasn't pursuing the matter any further, which relieved her.
"Carrie, thank Ms. Henderson!"
"Thank you, Ms. Henderson," Carrie mumbled reluctantly while keeping her head down.
"I'll take her now. Goodbye, Ms. Henderson!" Florence firmly grabbed Carrie's arm and dragged her away.
Just after they left, a tall young man in a plain suit walked in through the door.
Carrie paused in her steps and glanced toward the entrance. Her expression shifted from disappointment and
anger to one filled with admiration.
"Stop dawdling! Do you want to embarrassfurther?" Florence dragged her toward another corner of the
banquet hall roughly.
