"Not yet," he answered. "I was worried you'd leave early, so | cstraight over."
"Should we find somewhere to grab a bite first?"
"Sure."
They stopped by a nearby food stall for spastries. The vendor was puzzled by the sight of them arriving in a
luxury car just to eat street food, which nearly drew the attention of residents heading downstairs for breakfast.
However, Yolanda and Gavin were used to such stares. After finishing their meal, they drove back to the Savage
residence.
"There's no one at the Savage residence today," Gavin noted, implying that both Arthur and Pricilla were out. His
tone was tinged with a hint of disappointment.
"Are you hoping to see how a future mother-in-law makes things difficult for her daughter-in-law?" Yolanda
teased.
"What kind of mother-in-law is she?" Gavin scoffed. "That woman is even worse than the one from the
Hendersons."
Moreover, Gavin's lingering feelings were rooted in fulfilling the true Yolanda's wishes. He knew from her
memories about Pricilla's past actions toward her and found her utterly repulsive.
"Of course not, but I'm looking forward to meeting your real family."
Yolanda didn't know much about Gavin's background. When they first met, she tried to investigate it but found
no information. She didn't press him for details, as she believed he would tell her when he was ready.
"I will. Once we get back, I'll take you to meet them," Gavin promised earnestly as he looked into Yolanda's eyes.
However, they still had a long way to go before returning home. He needed to regain control of the underworld's
power, while Yolanda had to eliminate the shadowy Troy organization.
"I'm looking forward to it."
Yolanda hadn't intended to bring it up, but Gavin's promise surprised her and felt quite natural at the stime.
They arrived at the laboratory.

fingerprint into the security system.
