Chapter 393
Michelle glared judgingly at Yolanda, and after a while, she continued, "Clinics
exist to help patients with their ailments, not for you to use in a bet. Besides, your bet had broken the law, so
this bet is invalid as well."
Miguel was the one who had suggested betting with poison, but both he and his daughter had disregarded all
responsibility and shamelessly declared that the bet was invalid just so they could keep Healing Haven.
"I heard you're a doctor with your own clinic as well."
Michelle felt like it wasn't enough just to cancel the bet. She wanted to teach Yolanda a lesson as well so Yolanda
no longer dared to step on them.
"Your actions had severely violated the Medical Code of Ethics. | will punish you on the State Medical Board's
behalf right now. Your clinic is temporarily suspended, and I'll hold on to your operating license for now.

"Go back and think about your actions. The moment you finally realize what you have done wrong is when you
can ctoand apply to lift the ban."
What Michelle did was completely non-compliant with the State Medical Board's regulations, but she assumed
that normal citizens wouldn't know anything. All she needed to do was threaten them and they would grovel and
apologize to her, letting her do to them whatever she wished to.
Sadly, this time, her opponent was Yolanda. She would not have her way.
"Also, | feel like you're too competitive. You're not suitable to be a doctor, so I'll also hold on to your medical
license."
Michelle saw how Yolanda was silent and thought that Yolanda was too intimidated by her presence, so she
amped up her showcase of authority.
"If I don't deal with you today, many patients will suffer in your hands in the future."
"These two are from Willow Creek Clinic opposite us, Michelle. They saw how great our business here at Healing
Haven is and got jealous. They cdeliberately to seek trouble.
"You've got to punish them harshly, Michelle! They aren't medically ethical at all," Drake complained.
"Willow Creek Clinic?"
Michelle cocked her eyebrow and waved indignantly. "Shut down that clinic now," she ordered loudly.
Upon Michelle's orders, her men whipped out their phones to contact their men at the police station so they
could cover and close down Willow Creek Clinic.
When Yolanda saw how arrogant Michelle was, she asked, "Are you and your father defaulting on the bet
because you can't afford to lose?"
"How dare you accuse us of defaulting on the bet?" Michelle's expression darkened as she narrowed her eyes.
"Apologize toright now. You'll have a hefty price to pay if you makeangry."
Yolanda didn't show any fear, and that made Michelle very unhappy.
To her, Yolanda should be bawling and groveling for her forgiveness, begging for her to be ever so gracious and
spare her.
However, Yolanda was unphased. It seemed like Yolanda was just disregarding her.
"If your actions are investigated thoroughly, it can lead to criminal charges. | advise you to know what's good for
you.
"Also, you don't have a say on who wins the bet. I'm the boss here. Everything | say is an order.
"My orders are mandatory for everyone to follow with no questions asked. You didn't try to find out who | am and
you're here trying to talk toabout what's fair and what's not?
"What a joke," said Michelle with her head held up arrogantly.
"Seems like if you're shameless enough, you can blatantly refuse to honor a bet." Yolanda smiled lightly, and as
she looked into Michelle's eyes, she asked, "Didn't you think of the consequences of your actions before doing
them?"
"Consequences?" Michelle scoffed impatiently. "What consequences could | possibly have? Who do you think you
are?"
