Chapter 276

“If you can’t forget about him, why not just stick with him? Are you willing to trade your feelings for him

for your dad?” Neil’s cold, icy voice echoed in my

head.

I wouldn’t have known he knew about it if he hadn’t said anything.

I didn’t respond. I stood up and tried to push Neil away intending to pick up the fallen ring

Neil stood firm, his expression grew even colder at my actions

“Why should we fuss over this?” I gave up pushing him and spoke in a calm tone “Neil, havent you ever

liked other women? Have you been honest with me about everything? All I want now is for you to help

me with those two things. Then we can remarry and have a baby, It’s a simple win win situation”

“A win win?” Neil’s eyes were shrouded in a dark cloud. He was exuding a dangerous aura “Do I need

a woman who has another man on her mind?”

I wasn’t thinking about Russel anymore. I was just feeling a bit of regret for missing out on a man like

him.

But I never intended to go back, let alone ruin his relationship with Chloe

Neil was seething with jealousy, imagining Russel and me as a pair of tragic lovers.

I wanted to explain, but for some reason, the words changed when they reached my lips. “Think what

you want. You’ve suspected me and Russel before so much that we even got divorced”

“Trene!” Neil roared, sounding like he was about to go mad. He bent down to pick up the ring and

walked towards the balcony, ready to throw it away.

I rushed over to stop him “Have you lost your mind? That’s my stuff You have no right to dispose of it!”

“Your stuff?” Neil turned to look at me. He gripped my jaw and forced me to meet his furious gaze.

From now on, even you are mine! Forget this useless ring!”

I winced in pain, and Neil let go of me.

Suddenly, he threw the ring away

“No” I yelled. The ring was the only memento Russel had left me. Now that Neil had thrown it away, it

meant he could dispose of my stuff as he pleased. 1 was not okay with that.

Neil pulled me into the bedroom with a cold face. He threw me onto the bed, then knelt on the bed as

his hands pressed down on my shoulders. His eyes were filled with danger “Why do you insist on

testing my patience?”

“Have you lost your mind?” My shoulders hurt like they were about to shatter. I gritted my teeth in pain.

“Didn’t you drive me to this? Nel retorted. I’ve given you everything you asked for. I only had one

request that you can’t have other men. Is that so hard? Oscar, Russel, and Simmons Wallace. Each

one you chose was the perfect tool for revenge against me. Who else is there? Tell me, I get rid of him

now. Otherwise, I might die in your hands fist!!

I felt that Neil might really be losing his mind. He looked possessed

I didn’t dare move it hurt too much every time I did

Russel meant something different to Neil. Maybe he wouldn’t be this angry if I had relationships with

other men. I understood that

But I didnt plan on using Russel anymore. I only wished him well.

“Ned, let go of me.” My frail body couldn’t bear such force. Even speaking was painful.

“Let go of you?” Neil smirked. The fact that I haven’t strangled you yet is the best I can do”

I didn’t even know how Nell had entered my house, let alone found the ring. He had mentioned having

someone move stuff, but I hadn’t given him a key.

Then my phone rang I immediately pushed Neil away T need to take this call”

Neil let go of one hand and picked up my fallen phone from the bed, and his face turned even more

frightening after seeing the caller ID.

He showed me the screen. It was a call from Russel.

Why would Russel send that photo to Neil? And why did he meet Bonnie on behalf of Neil years ago

and keep it from me? I really wanted to ask him. But I couldn’t answer this call; Neil wouldn’t let me.

“If you want your father to spend the rest of his life in prison, keep defying me.” Neil declined the call

and tossed the phone aside.

“Your” My face furned pale instantly.

“What else can i do if reasoning with you doesnt work?” There was a hint of annoyance in Neil’s eyes.

I’ve always wanted to make up for the harm I’ve done to you and our child. But that’s not a reason for

you to toy with me.”

I was using Neil, but I wasn’t toying with him.

After seeing him out of control, blood rushed to my head, and my voice involuntarily rose. “What about

you? Why did you send Bonnie overseas for treatment? Why did you co-found a foundation with

StarGlow Enterprises? You keep saying you want to win me back, but aren’t your actions contradicting

your words?”

The atmosphere froze for a moment. Neil’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Who did I send overseas for

treatment?”

“Bonnie “I tried to steady my voice. “You told her to disappear from Rosemont forever. She almost died

from a heart attack later. Didn’t you give her a sum of money and send her overseas for treatment? if

you hadn’t saved her, none of this would ve happened”

Neil let go of my shoulders, and his eyes became strange. “Who told you this?”

I was about to say it was Bonnie and mention Russel, but considering Neil’s current unstable state. I

held back.

I hadn’t asked Russel about the details yet. Before I did, I didn’t want to stir up trouble between these

two men again.

“I heard it from someone.” I answered vaguely.

“Who’s this someone?” Neil’s voice was much calmer than before, but I felt a chill run down my spine. It

was even scarier.

I shook my head, unwilling to say more.

Neil asked again calmly, “You believed what they said?”

“Yes.” I answered immediately.

Back then, no one but Neil would help Bonnie. Anyone who helped her would be opposing him.

It would only make sense if he changed his mind.

On hearing my response, Neil’s face turned icy, as if he were on the verge of freezing over. He told me,

word for word, “I didn’t save her.”

So did Bonnie make all this up? Neither Bonnie nor Neil could be trusted unless Russel was willing to

tell me what happened and provide evidence. “Sure enough, you can’t fully trust me emotionally or

follow my lead.” Neil’s eyes narrowed dangerously, “Then let’s start building trust physically.”
