Instantly, Jodie's eyes widened with shock. At first, she thought that she was hearing things. "What? What did

you just say?"

The person leading the group seemed to ignore her emotional breakdown as he continued to say, "Mr.

Henderson has given us orders to send you abroad, to let you reunite with your father."

Considering how selfish of a person Jack was, even if he learned that he had a daughter through the internet, he

would never give Jodie a good life. After all, he had continued his promiscuous life abroad, leaving him with

dozens of offspring.

Moreover, his children were going to do everything possible to get their hands on his assets and properties. With

Jodie's sudden appearance, they would all treat her like their common enemy.

Even if she were to live abroad, she might still encounter an attempted assassination every few hours until she

finally died. Sending her abroad was basically a death sentence for her.

When it all becclear to her, she started to laugh like a madwoman. She laughed so hard tears were falling

from her eyes.

She had thought that victory was assured. It cas a surprise to her that Ethan would not care about the child

anymore because of Grace.

"Oh, Uncle Ethan. There's no point in doing so much because Grace will never even look in your direction. You're

the most pathetic person in the world," Jodie thought.

Jodie's eyes were filled with nothing but resentment. She clenched her fists before eventually allowing herself to

calm down.

"Letsee Uncle Ethan. | have something to tell him."

But all the men did was get her out of the bed. "Ms. Henderson, don't bother wasting your energy."

Jodie struggled violently, sinking her teeth into the arm of the person holding her. "Letgo! Let go of me! I will

never go abroad! Not over my dead body!"

She had just finished screaming when the door to the ward swung open. It was Yancey.

It felt like her savior had cto rescue her. She began screaming at the top of her lungs.

"Yancey, are you seeing this? It's all Uncle Ethan's plan. Go tell Grandpa so that he can csaveor I'll be

sent overseas!"

Yancey sighed, sounding like he was feeling sorry for Jodie.

"I really wish could help you, Jodie, but Grandpa just happens to be the biggest contributor in taking Jack down

back then. If he were to help you now, it would mean going against the higher ups and telling them that perhaps

there was a problem with Jack's removal at the time."

s

Yancey seemed to have finally figured out what was amiss. Out of all the possibilities, Jodie just had to be Jack's

daughter.

As long as she was related to Jack,

there was nothing Jordan could do

as there would be dozens of pairs of eyes keeping a close watch on the Hendersons. It was all part of

Ethan's strategy. s

He did not even need to do anything and he was able to hamper all of Jordan's attempts to do anything. He had

achieved victory without a single bloodshed.

Jodie had always known Ethan was a smart person, but she never expected that he would be able to calculate

every step with precision.

The rims of her eyes were even redder now. A voice inside her head was shouting like mad. She knew she had to

do something about this.

However, before she could even open her mouth, someone's arm jabbed over at the speed of light

from the side and stuck a needlenet

into her neck Before he could even tell Yancey anything else neovision went black. s

Yancey did not see this coming either. He had initially planned to extract sinformation about the child from

Jodie. He just stared at the men and let out a nervous chuckle.

"Sure, Jodie has lost her status as a heiress of our family, but she did still grow up in the Henderson household.

Aren't you scared of the fact that | might make you pay?"

But the men were impossible to talk to. None of them even looked at him. "Excuse us. We'll be sending Ms.

Henderson to the airport now. If there's anything else you need, you may contact Mr. Ethan Henderson

personally." Yancey's expression darkened completely. He could only watch them as they left. He slammed his

fist into the wall next to him, his chest rising and falling sharply. "Ethan Henderson! You're really something,

Ethan!" Yancey cursed inside his head.

Every step he made was calculated with precision. He could even keep his feelings for someone a secret. There

was no telling how many secrets he was hiding!

All of a sudden, Yancey was fired up. After all that had happened, there was no way Jordan would still be able to

trust Ethan wholeheartedly!
