Rise Online: Return of the Legendary Player
Chapter 608 Power Of Creativity
The second challenge of the second phase of the Individual Archery Tournament was more like a spectacle than an ordinary competition, and the crowd was eager to see how Max would handle this new test of skill.
The turntable began to move with Max on top, and the spotlights illuminated the holograms of the floating rings around Max.
Max adjusted his posture in an elegant manner, his muscles flexing very naturally. He looked completely at ease on the turntable, as if he was used to it. His focus was on the holograms of the rings, and he held the bow with perfect balance.
The audience was stunned when Max, without hesitation, released the three arrows that were on the bowstring almost simultaneously. The arrows flew towards a field full of rings, passing through two rings with two of the three arrows. Each arrow hit a different target, scoring impressively. The audience erupted in applause, completely captivated by Max's way of tackling the challenge.
Max's creativity was undeniable, but it was now clear that he had a lot of skill, because not just anyone could shoot three arrows simultaneously, let alone with such force and direction.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtMax continued to move confidently around the rotating platform, adjusting his aim as the rings floated around him. Some arrows passed close to their targets, others hit with frightening aim. It seemed like luck, coincidence, but it was literally ingenuity.
Max's expression remained unperturbed, his eyes focused on the constantly moving targets. The minute passed like a blur as he launched arrows with a unique proficiency. When the countdown finally came to an end, Max lowered his bow and stepped down from the platform with all his charisma, practically laughing at what he had just done.
The audience was on their feet, applauding and cheering Max on.
As Max left the platform, the crowd's attention was drawn to another competitor who was about to step up.
Andrew, a young man with black hair and green eyes, walked confidently towards the turntable. He had a look worthy of a magazine model, and his presence now did not go unnoticed. In the first challenge, he may not have been in the spotlight due to Emma's performance, who was literally right next to him, jostling for targets, but his performance was solid enough to get noticed and place him in the TOP5 out of the remaining 20 contestants.
The whispers spread through the crowd, and even many women in the audience couldn't help but sigh at Andrew's charming presence.
Andrew cast a look of determination at Klaus, his friend and companion. Klaus, who was in the middle of the audience, returned the look with a nod of confidence, conveying his silent support. Finally, Andrew stepped onto the turntable with a confident stance, exuding an aura of calm and concentration.
"Caio, I believe it will not be easy for Andrew to surpass Max's performance, but do you think it is possible?" The narrator asked the commentator.
"Certainly, Peter. Anyone here can be as impressive as Max, as long as they have the same creativity as him! HAHAHA! Seriously though, Andrew may not have been the standout of the first challenge, but he demonstrated excellent technique and control. If he can adapt to this new challenge in the same way, I think he could surprise." replied the commentator.
As the narrators chatted, Andrew was completely focused on the turntable in front of him, waiting for the countdown to begin. He watched the holograms of the floating rings, calculating their trajectory and the time of each rotation mentally. He had a determined look in his green eyes as he prepared for the challenge to begin.
'I can't do badly...' Klaus is through to the Final and Lara is well on her way to qualifying for the third challenge. I need to do what I know and do it very well, without getting distracted...' But damn, I really should have bought a bow to practice on Rise Online.' Andrew thought.
Like Max, Andrew seemed at ease on the turntable. He lifted and prepared the movement with grace, the muscles in his arms flexing slightly. His green eyes were fixed on the moving rings.
The countdown finally came to an end after the ten seconds, and the platform began to rotate.
Andrew adjusted his posture gracefully, balancing with ease even as the platform rotated. He took a deep breath, controlling his anxiety, and then released the first arrow. It flew through the air and pierced one of the rings with precision. Soon after, he moved to the next one, synchronizing his movements with the rotation of the platform. Thus, as he continued to hit the moving rings. His concentration became remarkable, and his determination proved written in his eyes. He seemed untroubled by the spinning platform nor the complexity of the targets.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAndrew's expression remained firm and unwavering throughout the minute. He kept his posture upright and controlled even as the turntable continued its relentless motion and the floating targets tested his agility and reflexes. Each arrow was launched with imposing confidence, and each hit was greeted by a wave of approving murmurs from the audience.
As the seconds ticked away, Andrew released his last arrow. The arrow sliced through the air and pierced the target with magnificent accuracy, sealing his performance with a touch of greatness. As the countdown came to an end, everything in the gym was silent, because everyone was in shock about how simple and normal it was. Still, as Andrew walked to reunite with Lara and the other contestants who had already finished, Andrew's score appeared on the big screen, placing him in third place, only behind Lara and Max, which surprised everyone.
Andrew's performance once again failed to be as eye-catching as his opponents, but it was effective enough.
