One of the onlookers relayed the incident to Lance.

Once informed, Lance turned to confront Keilani, his countenance hardening, eyes clouded. “Keilani, accompany William and extend your apologies to Sabrina!” Lance directed.

“I won't go! Who knows what grudges she’s holding!” Keilani snapped, averting her gaze.

Then, locking eyes with Lance, she erupted, “Why must you always side with outsiders?” “If you refrained from sowing discord, would I find myself in this position? Will you apologize?” Lance retorted, his stare chilling.

Behind his glasses, his narrowed eyes bore into Keilani.

Keilani’s demeanor shifted, nerves taut.

Should Lance probe Anne, he'd unearth the truth that it was no mere misunderstanding but her deliberate act.

“Let's go.” William motioned to Keilani.

It seemed wiser to concede and apologize for a misstep rather than mar everyone's mood. If Sabrina continued fuming after the apology, the consensus would label Sabrina overly sensitive.

Under Lance's cold scrutiny, Keilani gritted her teeth, reluctantly rising. Then, she snorted in indignation before wordlessly exiting the room.

Keilani was in a sulk. They were her friends, but they pressured her into apologizing to Sabrina! It was all because of the Sabrina! Sabrina, in Keilani’s eyes, was petty and small-minded, resigning over a trifle and thus disgracing her now.

As fate would have it, Blayze arrived in Philade right after Sabrina’s resignation.

Keilani reflected on the details. Since Sabrina was Sp J by Blayze's visit, chances were that Sabrina orchestrated this whole thing to make her lose face. Keilani seethed with resentment. She wouldn't let it slide! Keilani went straight to the next chamber. “My apologies. Happy now?” she spat at Sabrina, her tone dripping with arrogance.

Sabrina appeared perplexed.

“Don’t feign ignorance! Didn't you tell Bella to hint at your new job in front of them? All for the sake of extracting an apology from me, huh?” Keilani sneered.

Bella’s previous intention to defend Sabrina was evident. Sabrina flatly retorted, “And if so? Wasn't it the truth? What now? Do you fear your misdeeds coming to Light?” “You! Just wait and see!” Keilani seethed, glaring at Sabrina before storming out.

Sabrina and Bella exchanged a glance.

Sabrina remained puzzled. Bella, on the other side, seemed to have an epiphany. The culprit who pinned the necklace theft on Sabrina was none other than Keilani. Keilani, indeed, was an idiot.

“Sabrina, | regret how things transpired. | should have asked Keilani to apologize to you. For Blayze's sake, consider letting go,” William entered the room, expressing regret.

“Apology acknowledged. William, feel free to cback and rejoin them,” Sabrina responded, her demeanor indifferent.
