| turned to look back at the white faced Nina and the screeching pack of girls around her. She was trying to battle
back, but you could tell she had lost steam. Suddenly, there was a loud beep that went through the air. Everyone
froze, and | turned back to Wendy and she mouthed the world, 'Announcements'. | just nodded and turned back
to the line to wait my turn to pay.
"Good evening students." Alpha Vince's voice cover the speakers, and | had to stop my eyes from rolling. "It
has cto my attention that there are a lot of students claiming that they were the ones that donated the
money to the student body. | wanted to clear up sfacts, so that there were no more infighting." | turned wide
eyes to Wendy, and she winced.
"He wouldn't." | whispered, but knowing him, he would. He would one hundred percent claim the donation for
Brandon or himself.
"Letbe very clear about this. The person who donated the money wanted to stay anonymous. And anyone
that has made the claim that they gave the money lied. We expect all our students to uphold themselves
honorably. While we focus on rank here, we do not claim the achievements of others. The alpha that gave the
money had specifically asked to stay unknown and | will keep my word to her. But if this continues or if | find out
anyone trying to use this gift to get special treatment, | will be forced to reveal the donor."

“No.” | laughed. | pulled the phone out of her hand. "Mrs. Sandlewood. Hi, it's Amy."

soft sigh. "She wanted to thank you personally."
"Why didn't you tellthat your daughter was one of the students getting the money?"
Mrs. Sandlewood sighed again. "To be honest with you, | was embarrassed. | wasn't able to give her everything
she needs."
"Mrs. Sandlewood, there is nothing to be embarrassed about. You should be paid enough that tour daughter
shouldn't have needed the money. Or the food plan should be included with tuition like it used to be. There is no

having such a hard twith this, go talk to Alpha Vince. Now, | would really like to pay for my food and be on
my way." | pushed past the group and paid for my things before leaving.
