Chapter 1390: "Would Javier allow that if he knew?" Raymond's indignation was palpable. "That Deleon heir, Colby, is truly incompetent. If he had been more alert, he would have noticed Amoura's intentions long ago. The person in Amoura's villa—it must be Christos, right?" "Without concrete evidence, it's hard to say for certain," Eileen cautioned. Though highly probable, she couldn't be absolutely sure without seeing him in person. She suspected Christos might have undergone changes of his own.
After thinking for a while, Eileen asked, "What has Colby been up to lately? Perhaps we can drop shints to him. He might see the situation more clearly than Javier." Raymond let out a deep sigh. “He's been as quiet as a tomb lately and locked up at hall day. Word is, Amoura's been trying to set him up on blind dates, but none of them panned out. Maybe he's too heartbroken and can't pull himself together?" "That doesn't seem right," Eileen replied, shaking her head. She had seen Colby and Presley enough to know better.
If anything, the divorce had probably just bruised Colby's pride. After all, he had married a woman who was in love with someone else, making him a laughingstock.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtEileen said, "Arrange a meeting with Colby. Keep digging into where Amoura moved the person from that villa, too. Let the police know Lydia and Christos are hiding in Onaland. They'll dig into everyone's movements thoroughly.' After methodically cutting off every possible exit for Amoura and gearing up for a direct confrontation, Eileen finally ended the call.
Raymond was pulling his team together for a coordinated push, wondering if returning to the EB Group was good for him.
When he had stayed at the Deleon family's estate, the fear of being smothered in his sleep had kept him awake most nights.
Back here, the sleeplessness didn't stop, but now it was because of constant work.
No matter how much he mulled it over, he couldn't make sense of the situation. He sighed heavily and turned around, only to spot a strangely familiar figure.
In the hallway outside the meeting room, a janitor was busy polishing the glass doors. She glanced Raymond's way briefly and then quickly looked away, resuming her work.
"Presley?" Raymond recognized her instantly.
Even though her appearance was vastly altered and she wore a mask, he recognized her right away. "How did you get in here?" he asked.
Presley's movements slowed, but her voice was steady. "When I started working here, you were still undercover at the Deleon Group. I got hired here the usual way." Getting hired as a cleaner didn't require upper-level approval. As long as the supervisor gave permission, one could be hired as the cleaner.
But after the scandal surrounding Presley's divorce-and with all the gossip about bout her and Bryan-how could any EB Group employee not know Presley? Why would they hire her?
Then it hit Raymond-the cleaning supervisor. She was an older woman, pushing fifty, who likely didn't care for rumors, which had probably let Presley fly under the radar.
"Presley..." Raymond began. Then content is on Enenbvelxo.com!
