The moment the door was pushed open, Winnie saw Xavier flipping through a magazine on the couch.

was still pretending to be in a coma. He was wearing a set of casual wear and flipping through a
magazine in bed. He looked like he didn’t have a care in the world. Now, he looks exactly like that. He

The sound of Winnie opening the door had attracted Xavier’s attention.
He retracted his gaze from the magazine and looked toward Winnie.

sister. Hence, don’t address me as your brother anymore. I’m not your brother. Lastly, I’m going to take
you with me when I attend the charity gala in three days’ time. You’ll be my only female companion that
night. Do you hear me?”
Christopher was rendered speechless, while Josiah and Winnie were flabbergasted.
“Do you hear me?” Xavier asked again.
Christopher was so stunned that he didn’t know how to respond.
“What is it? Are you so happy that you can’t utter a word in response?” With that, Xavier grabbed
Christopher by his neck and pinned him against the wall.
Xavier and Christopher were about the same height, so Xavier was looking at him at eye level.
Noticing that, Xavier furrowed his brows, and he looked frustrated. “What happened, Dumbo? How did
you suddenly get so tall?”
Christopher, Josiah, and Winnie were all utterly stupefied.
“What…” Winnie stared blankly at Josiah.
Josiah was gaping in disbelief as well. After a while, he said, “Well… I think he’s just having an
episode, the kind that has never been seen before. Memory loss, memory confusion, and personality
mutation. It seems like he has become a domineering CEO. In fact, he might’ve turned blind!”
“So, what should I do now?” Christopher asked.
“What do you mean by that? Who are these people? Why are they in our room?” Xavier was angry at
Winnie and Josiah.
He turned around and sized Josiah up. “Are you a doctor? Why are you here? Is someone sick?”
Josiah still couldn’t believe his eyes. “This is a hospital. You’ve fallen sick.”
“I’m sick? Ha!” Xavier sneered and mocked, “You’re a quack doctor!”
After that, Xavier shifted his gaze toward Winnie. After sizing her up with his narrowed eyes, he asked,
“Have I seen you before? Why do you look so familiar? Are you an employee of mine?”
Winnie felt a shortness of breath when she saw his condition. “If you remember who Dumbo is and how
your grandpa had asked you to bring her to the charity gala, how could you not remember what she
looks like?”
Xavier scrunched up his brows. “Do you hear the words coming out of your mouth? You’re full of crap!”
Xavier then sneered and looked at Josiah. “Is this a psychiatric hospital?”
With that, he grabbed Christopher’s hand and said, “Let’s get out of here, Dumbo!”
“I’m Dumbo!” Winnie was saddened when she saw Xavier’s delirious state. She then grabbed Xavier’s
other hand and fumed, “I’m Dumbo! I’m the real Winnie! Look at me! Take a good look at me!”
“Ha!” Xavier flashed a disdainful look. “You’re just another shameless woman trying to approach me.
How despicable! My wife is here!”
With that, Xavier wanted to put his hand behind Christopher’s head.
It seemed like he was about to kiss Christopher on the lips.

The taste of blood managed to get Xavier’s attention. He then took the initiative to grab Winnie’s waist,
and he was about to kiss her back.
In the end, Josiah gave Xavier an anesthesia injection to prevent things from getting out of hand.
Xavier had a high fever after he blacked out.
Meanwhile, Winnie and Josiah had been by his bed to take care of him.
Josiah felt troubled while looking at the fast asleep Xavier. “He had mistaken a man for his wife! That
man is his rival! I can’t imagine what he would be like when he wakes up again.”
