have to apologize for your efforts in dealing with them.”
Even though Nathaniel had only seen half of Winnie’s true appearance, he was still moved
by her beauty.

Winnie did not linger there; she swiftly fled after shoving the wig into Nathaniel’s hands.

With Nathaniel’s help, the people stopped going after Winnie, and she managed to leave
the hotel unscathed.
“The woman disappeared after entering the open-air garden. She must have changed
during that time and put on a wig because no one who left the hotel looked exactly like
her,” Josiah said to Xavier. “Why don’t we just let it slide for today? Getting everyone to go
after her will only ruin the mood of the charity gala. I say we look into her partner for
now.”
