The unbelievable incident from earlier filled Austin's mind. All the other things, including the
experiment's success, could not divert his attention.
Thompson could tell that something was off with him as well. When he thought about how Austin had
always looked down on Lily, he thought it was because Austin felt dissatisfied and unconvinced upon
learning that Lily's experiment had succeeded.
Hence, he started, "Austin, you've recently stayed for days in the lab and worked hard for the
experiment. Look at the dark circles under your eyes! You should go home and rest today. You can only
continue with the experiment in a better state!”

"I..." Austin felt suffocated. He could tell that Thompson did not need him here anymore, even though
his words made him appear concerned.
Lily was back and succeeded in the experiment when Austin could not do so after struggling for the

fury in his heart grew.
Scoffing, Austin could not help himself but mock, "Fine! It seems you have someone better now and no
longer need my help. If that’s the case, I'll go back and take a good rest."
With that, he turned around to leave, leaving Thompson in his spot. The latter wanted to offer some
comfort but could not do so in time.
"Austin! Hey..." Thompson waved to try and stop the young man. Since he could not do anything, he
just gave up on it.
He turned and smiled at Lily as he said helplessly, "Young people these days are too impatient!
Fortunately, I was right about you. You're gifted. From what I see, you're not only talented in fragrances,
but you'll be able to achieve great success in the medicinal herbs field if you were to learn it too!"
"It’s too kind of you to say that, Professor Thompson." Lily said lightly," Medicinal herb is a tough
discipline, and it won't be easy to master it."
