At the hospital, Anastasia had just been bandaged. She looked at her father, who was busy taking care
of her, and said, "Dad, I'm okay, I truly am.1
Sitting down by the bed, Cameron gazed at her tenderly. "I know."
'You’re still-"
'You need to rest." Cameron said, "Just rest well and stop worrying. I'll take care of everything."
"Dad..." Moving her lips, she wanted to say something, then shifted her gaze thoughtfully and decided
against it.
"What's the matter?" Cameron asked gently. At this very moment, he was just an amiable father and
not the strict and fearsome Secretary Rollins.
"Nothing." She smiled and said, "Sorry, I made you worry."

Anastasia was fine and did not need to be hospitalized, but Cameron insisted she lay down for a while
so the doctor could make further observations.
The doctor did not dare to say no to him and could only agree.
"Dad, I've made you worry my entire life. I even used to complain that you did not spend time with me,

She had heard about the gossip about her father lately. After the fuss Fabian and Maria kicked up, she
suddenly felt that over the years she had blamed her father for neglecting her and not spending enough
time with her, but her father had lacked companionship as well.
It was very likely that he had stayed single for so many years for her sake, and even though she had
lost her mother, Cameron had loved her with all his heart to make up for her loss.
'Aunt Maria was right, to a certain extent, that a man might neglect his child after he remarries. That's
why my father hasn’t tried to find a new wife so that I don't suffer as a result of his marriage.
'If he has found someone who can be with him for the rest of his life, then I shouldn't stop him.'
'You're my daughter, who else should I care about but you? You're my responsibility," Cameron said
casually with a trace of a smile. His usually solemn face looked surprisingly gentle as he smiled.
"Dad, you're so good to me!” Anastasia was so moved that her eyes were wet with tears.
"Silly girl!" He took a piece of tissue and wiped the tears off the corners of her eyes as he said softly,
"Have a good rest. I knows it hasn't been easy for you lately either."
"Dad..." Seeing him get up, she grabbed his hand.
'Yes?" Turning around, Cameron threw her a puzzled look.
"If..." Blushing, she felt awkward bringing it up, but she said it anyway. "I mean, if you have found a
suitable woman who's willing to be with you, I’d be okay with it! You don't have to worry about me since
I'm a grownup who can take good care of herself. I just want you to be happy!"

"No!" Anastasia shook her head and continued, "I don't care if it's real or not, I just wish you could be
happy."
Cameron slowly unfurled his brow and spoke tenderly. "With you by my side, I have always been
happy!" He gently caressed her hair and said," Don’t think too much. What you need most now is a
good rest."
"Okay!" Anastasia nodded blissfully.
Just as Cameron was about to leave, he saw someone leaning in through the door, holding a bag and
a thermos flask. Seeing him, Lily was surprised.
"M-Mr. Rollins." As they had not dealt with each other officially, Lily was not used to calling him
Secretary Rollins and thus addressed him as such.
