As the road continued to narrow, she was beginning to lose phone signals as well. Finally, as she
entered an extremely lush forest, she saw a small wooden cabin in the middle of the woods.

Lily noticed that Alexander was not present when they first entered the living room. Instead, the man
went to the table and took out two masks. After putting one on himself, he passed the other one to Lily.
She waved and signaled that she did not need one. Then she took her own mask out of her pocket.
She knew the plague was contagious, so she had taken protective measures. Not only did she bring a
mask, but she also had disinfectant and gloves with her.
She had to prioritize her safety and the child in her belly in such a situation. This was the biggest
responsibility she had toward Alexander and herself.
The man watched Lily take out her disinfectant and was startled. He put down the bottle he was about

turning it twice to the left and three times to the right. Then, a creaking sound echoed.
The wooden bed slowly turned to one side, revealing a small tunnel. From the opening, Lily could see
the steps that extended down, but she couldn't see the end of them. She did not rush down as she
glanced back up at the man.
Without saying a word, the man took out a flashlight from the side and led the way down the steps.
