Rhea was walking in front of Cameron, speaking softly to him as they walked. "Uncle Cameron, I know
I'm at fault. I'm responsible for what happened to Tasia."
Cameron did not answer. Everyone else stared at them in confusion as they watched their exchange.
Rhea and Cameron walked to the middle of the living room. When Rhea stopped, Cameron stopped as
well, keeping a few feet between them. Rhea turned to look at Cameron with her head lowered, and
she had a heartfelt look.
"Uncle Cameron, I know I've been acting like a child, and I'm sorry for what happened to Tasia.
However, we should look at the bigger picture. Please reconsider our discussion about the lab just
now."

him. She linked her arms around his and asked, "Are we not calling the police?"
"We're a family, at the end of the day." Cameron sighed and turned to look at her. "Tasia, your cousin
was being used."
"What?!"
"She finally realized she was wrong and promised to make it up to you. The toxins in your body are
almost cleared. It’ll be okay. You'll be okay." He gently patted her hand to comfort her, but Anastasia
pulled her hand away.
She took two steps back and looked at him as if he were a stranger. Only the Moores were happy to
see this.
Maria came forward with a smile and said, "That’s right.
We're a family. Why do we have to make it into such a big deal? If Ree goes to jail, I’m sure you'll feel

Cameron had yet to answer when Rhea spoke. "Since we've cleared the air, let's get going. We’ll leave

day."

The family of three cheerfully waved goodbye. When Anastasia saw that Cameron did not react, she
