'Tasia?" Maria frowned, a little unhappy.
She was delighted when she saw that Rhea had resolved the matter, but Anastasia seemed unwilling
to give up.
"Dad!" Anastasia stomped to Cameron angrily, staring into his eyes to try and see what he was
thinking. "What did Rhea tell you? Why did you change your mind? Didn't you say you would stand up
for me? How can you just let her go like this?!"
'Tasia..." Maria was distraught. "Your father has already made up his mind. Do you honestly want to
send your cousin to jail? Would you be satisfied if your uncle and I spent the rest of our days visiting
her in prison?

Anastasia was even trying to send Rhea to prison. Maria felt that she had raised an ingrate.

Anastasia did not even spare her aunt a glance. She was only concerned about why her father was
acting this way. "Dad, I don't care about what other people think. I want to hear from you. What do you
think I should do?" At this point, Anastasia was about to cry.
She did not care if anything happened to Rhea or not, nor if Rhea were to go to jail or die. All she cared
about was her father.
He always used to protect her. She was his priority, and he would always stand up for her. However, he
would throw her under the bus over some so- called laboratory secret.
Anastasia felt like she was just a transaction, that she was something he sold for information.
'Tasia," Cameron called out lightly as he touched her head to coax her, just like he did when she was
younger. 'That's enough."
Anastasia took a few steps back and looked at him with shock and disappointment that she could not
conceal. 'That's enough?" She repeated tremblingly.
Cameron dropped his hand to his side and sighed. "It wasn't easy for your uncle and aunt to raise you.
You should learn how to be grateful."
"Grateful?!"
Maria, on the sidelines, was also surprised to hear this. She did not expect him to say such a thing.

her to trip at the door, and she fell to the ground.
Her big size caused a loud thump, and Maria subconsciously yelped and quickly wanted to step
forward to help her. However, her eyes darted toward Cameron, only to see that he was just standing
there, unmoved.
