'You're back!" the man said with his back to her. All she could see was the tall executive chair, not him.
Rhea stood where she was and said, 'Yes, sir."
"How did it go?"

could then be placed within the vaccine development center." Rhea paused for a moment. "Before I

The man let out a shrill laugh and turned his chair around with a horrible grin. 'You? Who do you think
you are? Do you think getting the citizenship of Roseroot means you've become the superior race? You
and your inferior race should be proud of being able to stand near me!"
Rhea frowned and did not retort.
"Rhea, if I had not allowed you to join us without the data and information I’ve given you, could you
have made such an achievement? When the experiment succeeds in the future, the whole world will be
in awe of you. Do you know whom you should be thankful for?" He lifted his chin and asked arrogantly.
'You, sir." Rhea lowered her head respectfully.
"I hope you mean it!" His fingers tapped the sides of his chair as if he were contemplating something.
‘Yes, how's test subject R16?"
"He survived the rejection period and has evolved quickly," Rhea answered. "It’s only been two days,
and I haven't had time to look again."
"Good. Very good!” The man was satisfied. "We’ve begun testing on R18, and Mike has been recording
the changes and data. However, I don't trust him. You should go take a look."
"Okay.” Rhea nodded.

Breathing hard, she glared at him and let out a cold smile. "Do you want to kill me?"
