Just as Lisa turned to walk away, she thought of something and grabbed Lily’s hand. “No, come with
me!”
She took Lily to the backstage dressing room. Lisa was treated nicely by the organizer, and had a
private dressing room. It was so much quieter when they went in and closed the door.
The smell in the room was confusing as it was full of various scents of cosmetics.
“I think it’s quite suitable for you. However, I don’t know if you’d like it or not.” Lily took out a pinkish
purple bottle with a ribbon tied around the mouth. “It’s not a lot as it’s just a preliminary test product. I
can adjust it according to your liking, but it needs time!”
“Of course, you must’ve done well!” Lisa opened it impatiently, sprayed a little on her wrist, and sniffed

Lily looked at Lisa’s expression as it changed from one of contented happiness to a blank stare, but
she said nothing. There was none of the happiness she had before.
Lisa then straightened up and gave Lily a smile. “It’s good. I like it!”
“Really?” Lily knew from her expression that Lisa did not like it as much as she said.
“Really!” Nodding forcefully, Lisa insisted, “It smells very comfortable and fragrant. It’s the smell I like.
I’ll say you know me best! By the way, how much should I pay you?”
Lily said while pushing her hand away, “Don’t ask about the price, or I’ll take it back since I promised to
help you. Of course, I couldn’t take the money. Next time though, I’ll charge!”
Since she said so, Lisa did not argue anymore, so she nodded with a smile. “Okay, then I’ll accept it.
How about letting me treat you to dinner?”
Lily declined. “I can’t make it today since I still have some stuff to do. Let’s go another time! You are
going to be here for a few more days, right?”
“Two days!” Gesturing with two fingers, Lisa said, “There’ll be an awards ceremony tomorrow, and then
the event will end.”
“Then you’ll go back to Westwood immediately?” Lily asked.
“No, I’m going to Kingsland. There’s an invitation over there. After that’s over, I’ll go back.”
“Well, there’s not much time.” Lily thought carefully. “Then, let me treat you to dinner tomorrow night.”
“Okay!” Lisa said while nodding decisively, “We can have dinner together tomorrow night, but let me
pay for it.”
After she had done her job, Lily went straight home. However, she did noticed that Lisa did not like the
new exclusive perfume very much. Maybe she did not say it out of politeness and courtesy.

Lisa was not dissatisfied, but she felt that it was not quite what she wanted.
She raised her wrist and sniffed it again. A fresh and elegant rose scent filled her nose. Although it was
very fragrant, it made her feel girlish. She always wanted to get rid of that feeling of being a little girl,
but no matter it if was her father or Lily, the perfume made for her still had such a smell.
Could it be because the impression she gave others solidified her as a little girl? Did she not grow up at
all?
Lisa stuffed the perfume bottle into her bag dejectedly. She was a little disappointed.
