Chapter 658

Lily knew who Jonathan meant by ‘outsider’ as he had always viewed Alexander as one.

“What I want to announce today is very important to the Lodge family,” Jonathan started.

Though he was not loud, he made sure everyone in the hall could hear him clearly, “Our family has more than a

hundred years of history in Sapphine city. We have always done our part and respected the family's rules.

“However, we did not expect my dear brother, Wilfred, to leave us so suddenly. His sudden passing is a great loss to

our family, and we’re all very sad about it. Unfortunately, this was no mere accident. It was, in fact, a planned murder! ”

He looked at Lily as he finished his sentence.

It was as if he was implying that she was the murderer. Since Jonathan was so crude with his statement, Lily did not

shy away.

She stood up and said, “Granduncle, I think you’re wrong.”

“Oh?” Jonathan smirked coldly, “Do tell me what I said was wrong?”

“You’re wrong about two things. Firstly, you said everyone is here, but obviously, that’s not true. Justin

is my grandfather’s oldest grandson, the most important person here, but he hasn’t arrived. How could

you start without him?”

Jonathan smiled calmly in the face of her accusations, “Justin is indeed the oldest grandchild of the

family, but Henry is your uncle.

As your grandfather’s son, don’t you think he should be in charge, not Justin?”

“This is the second thing you’re wrong about,” Lily paused before continuing, “You said everyone here

today is from our family, and there are no outsiders, but the last I checked, he’s not a Lodge anymore.”

“What?” The others in the room looked at her in bewilderment.

They turned to each other as if trying to figure out who the stranger could be.

“Now, I’m confused. Since I have been a part of the Lodge family for so long, I’m familiar with every

member, from the most senior to the youngest. Tell me, who isn’t a Lodge here?” Jonathan remarked

coldly.

Lily smiled nonchalantly back at Jonathan and walked toward Henry. She pointed her finger at Henry

under the gazes of everyone in the room, “Him! Henry isn’t a Lodge!” The moment she finished her

statement, all hell broke loose.

Some questioned her, “Lily, are you in your right mind? Henry is your uncle and your grandfather’s son.

How is he not a Lodge?”

“Lily, you should stop your nonsense. There’s no point trying to hide what you’ve done. Just admit it, and I’ll forgive you

on behalf of your late mother.” Standing next to Jonathan, Henry reprimanded Lily while looking down at her, acting all

high and mighty.

“Uncle?” She uttered mockingly and shook her head, “No, you’re not my uncle.”

Then she turned to Jonathan, “If you’ve been a part of the Lodge family for as long as you say you have, and since you

are my grandfather's brother, you should know everyone. How is it that you’ve forgotten that Grandpa banished him?”

Lily pointed her finger at Henry while stressing the word ‘banished. ’ Naturally, when everyone heard the term, most

gasped in surprise. Some were unaware of this and those who knew about the incident did not expect her to bring it up.

Everyone in the family knew that Henry was Wilfred’s beloved youngest son. No one knew exactly why he had left the

family many years ago and where he was all those years. However, for some reason, he came back at this time.

They could understand why he chose to return now, but what would have caused Wilfred to banish his youngest son

from the family?

“Lily, stop your nonsense. You’re just trying to draw attention away from what you’ve done! Whether I was banished

from the family or not has nothing to do with you. What gives you the right to question me? Besides, this has nothing to

do with what we’re meeting about today!” Henry was flustered as he tried to argue his way out.
