Jenny and Olivia exchanged startled expressions and looked at her.
"No way!"
"It's the truth!"
With a sigh, Lily said defeatedly, "I took an exam when I started.I got the title of a perfumer, but I never
passed the exam for the practicing certificate.
The Perfumers’ Society came up with that certificate, and it was never needed on the international
level."
The others were speechless.
Jenny became thoughtful.
"Well, it’s not needed internationally as there’s no such thing as a practicing certificate

Jenny added, "Even the junior technician could get it, and you couldn’t?"
Recalling how she used to make things difficult for Lily, Jenny realized she could have stopped her
from joining the company if she had demanded the certificate right from the start.
Thankfully, Jenny had not thought of it.
Of course, who would have guessed that Lily would not possess the most basic thing? "Yeah, yeah, I
have it, too!"
Olivia added hurriedly.
Speechless, Lily scowled at her.

Seeing how insistent they were, Lily sighed and said, "All right.It's not that I really can’t pass the exam,
but I don’t want to take it."
She continued, "If it's got something to do with perfumery, I'll try my best to learn no matter how tough it
is.However, the exam has nothing to do with perfumery.If it’s not recognized internationally and I have
no intention in joining the Perfumers’ Society, why waste time trying to get something I don’t even
need?"

The problem now was not whether she could pass the exam, but she didn’t even want to waste time on

"The Perfumers’ Society will put you under investigation and might even press charges against you,
though.It’s clear they want to give you trouble."
"Just let them!"
Lily let out an unconcerned look.
"Frankly speaking, I’ve never understood the purpose of the society.Within the Perfumers’ Society,
besides the few retired top perfumers who haven’t come up with anything new, who else got famous for
their products? Isn't creating products the greatest purpose of a perfumer?"
