Chapter 113
When Gunner said that, the entire private dining room went silent. Someone nudged him and said, "Gunner, quit
yapping! Go get Veronica back! We, as men, shouldn't be fighting with women, right?"
Gunner, a bit loose from the alcohol, was having none of it. "I was just messing around with a lady. Veronica
hasn't said a peep, so what gives Eloise the right to judge me? Who's backing her up to speak so recklessly?"
The atmosphere got even more tense.
Amid the silence, Harvey chuckled quietly, wiped his mouth with a napkin, and then got up. "I'm out of here!"
Someone immediately tried to stop him. "Attorney Horigan, don't leave. Gunner's just drunk and talking
nonsense. Let's have him apologize to you, okay? Can you just let it slide?"
Harvey smiled, looked at Gunner, and casually said, "You just asked who's backing Eloise. Lettell you, it's
me, Harvey. Eloise is mine. | wouldn't even raise my voice at her. Who do you think you are to criticize me?"
Gunner was dazed by Harvey's outburst.
Harvey sneered. "I didn't even want to cto this dinner. The only reason | did was because Eloise and
Veronica are close. Since you won't go get your own wife, then I'll take Veronica hfor you."
And with that, Harvey really left.
There was a long silence in the room after he left. Someone patted Gunner's shoulder. "You should apologize to
Harvey, Gunner. You need to reflect. No matter how tempting those women are, they're just messing around with
you. You can't take your feelings for them seriously. That Ravenna has a really bad rep. You can't hang around
with her too much. If you screw up, won't we all be laughingstocks?"
Gunner wiped his face. He sobered up, hesitated, and then asked. "And what about Harvey's feelings for Eloise?"
Was he just messing around with her? It was a well-known fact that Harvey was a workaholic. People thought he
didn't want to get married, so naturally, Gunner didn't believe Eloise could really win Harvey's heart.
Someone chuckled. "We don't know if Harvey and Eloise will end up together, but he clearly has feelings for her.
Have you ever seen Harvey embarrass someone in public? Have you ever seen Harvey defend a woman like
that?"
Before the sentence was finished, Gunner had already rushed out. In the end, he found Eloise and Veronica in a
bar, but Harvey was nowhere to be seen.
Gunner was pissed! He fell for Harvey's trick. But since he was there, he couldn't just leave Veronica. He walked
over and patted Veronica's shoulder. "Can't you talk toat hif there's a problem? Why do you have to talk
to your friends? Isn't that embarrassing?"
Veronica was washing her face. She froze when she heard her husband's voice.

Gunner awkwardly said, "I've said it before; I'm just messing around with other women. Your position as my wife
won't change."
Veronica, her eyes red, slowly finished washing her hands. She calmly said, "We'll talk at home. | have friends
here; | don't want to embarrass myself."
Eloise was worried about her, so Veronica forced a smile. "Eloise, as long as you don't look down on me, that's
enough. Let's have dinner sometime; consider it keepingcompany."
Eloise was heartbroken. She wanted to tell Gunner to treat Veronica better, but she couldn't bring herself to say

With his constant infidelity, how could they have a good marriage?
Eloise drove home. She was in a bad mood; she sat in the parked car downstairs
for a long tbefore turning off the engine and going upstairs.
Despite it only being 9 o'clock, Harvey was already home.
He was sitting on the sofa watching TV, seemingly waiting for her.
Eloise looked up at him.
Harvey patted the empty spot next to him, motioning for her to csit. Then he asked, "Ms. Laurent, what's
wrong?"
Eloise moved over next to him, looking quite docile.
Harvey had actually heard her conversation with Gunner. He found that Eloise
had many faces. She often looked flustered, and her heart raced when facing him, but she was very assertive
towards Gunner.
He found this fascinating.
He originally planned to celebrate her birthday on Saturday and then spend a cozy evening together.
But now he was looking forward to spending talone with her even more.
He took Eloise's arm, pulled her onto his lap, had her wrap her arms around his neck, then closed his eyes and
gently kissed her cherry-like lips. Although Eloise seemed reluctant at first, Harvey knew her body well. He gently
caressed her, and after kissing her, he naturally moved to her beautiful neck, making soft kissing sounds.
Soon, Eloise couldn't help but surrender.
Their clothes were scattered on the floor.
Eloise's eyes were full of love; she was completely seduced by his gentle and skilled touch.
Harvey loved the satisfied sounds she made. Their passion was so intense that it was almost scary.
Just as they were getting hot and heavy, Harvey's phone rang.
The phone kept making "ding, ding, ding" sounds. Harvey ignored it, but Eloise
was distracted by it. She gently pushed him. "Someone's calling..."
"Leave it!" Harvey continued to kiss her deeper and deeper.
The phone stopped ringing but soon started again.
Eloise gently kissed his lips and said, "Answer the phone first; we'll continue later."
Harvey stared at her for a while before releasing her. He then reached over and picked up the phone from the
coffee table.
"What's up, Griffin?"
Eloise slipped on his shirt and was about to head back to the master bedroom.
But she only got a few steps in before Harvey snagged her. He hooked one hand around her waist, casually
stroking her body. Eloise felt a ticklish sensation; her body went limp, and she collapsed into his arms.
Harvey looked down at her.
He was already quite handsome, but in this moment he seemed even more mature and charming. Eloise couldn't
resist kissing his chin, causing his scruffy beard to sting her a bit.
All the while, Harvey kept his gaze on her as he talked to Griffin.
Griffin's voice was filled with excitement.
"Harvey, I've found the middleman for the jewelry sales! Once | find him, I'll be able to find my kid."
Harvey traced Eloise's lips with his fingers, smiling as he said. "Griffin, congrats." Griffin let out a sigh.

His mood dropped again. "But the guy had a car accident a few days ago, and he's still in a coma. Harvey, I'm
really afraid he'll end up a vegetable, and then I'll never be able to find Louise! I'll never be able to find my kid!"
Harvey took a deep breath.
Eloise lightly bit his finger.
His gaze on her was incredibly deep.
On the other end of the phone, Griffin frowned. "Harvey, what's wrong?"
Harvey chuckled lightly. "A cat bit me! Griffin, don't worry; I'll get a top-notch doctor to treat him so he recovers
as quickly as possible. I'll make sure you and my 'aunt' reunite soon."
Griffin sighed again.
"So many years have passed, so I'm not even sure if she's already married. Harvey, | just want to see her and
know about her life and the kid. | have a feeling
it's a girl... Harvey, are you listening?"
Stirred by Eloise's actions, Harvey couldn't help but make snoises.
He tried to control himself and was lightly panting.
"Griffin, I'm listening!"
Griffin continued, mostly to himself. "Actually, thinking about it, the child should be
24 now. She should be old enough to be considering marriage."
Harvey indulged the girl in his arms, finding it amusing as she did what she
wanted to his body. At the stime, he still managed to comfort Griffin. "Griffin, her mom's pretty good-
looking, so the little girl must be cute too. Her future should be bright; she might even be married with kids by
now."
Griffin was comforted by his words.
He sighed lightly. "I've been worried these past few days; what if she met a bad
man? Harvey, hearing you say this puts my mind at ease."
"Harvey, are you listening?"
"Harvey?"
