Chapter 254
In the master bedroom, only a bedside lamp was on, casting a dim, inviting glow. The atmosphere was absolutely
perfect.
They kissed, tumbling onto the foot of the bed, their bodies entwining.
It had been three long years. Harvey was a bit out of practice, and Eloise didn't entirely prepare well yet. But it
was their imperfections that made the moment all the more exciting.
Harvey leaned into her ear, whispering sweet nothings at first, but then he gave into his own desires as he
struggled to control himself.
Suddenly, they were interrupted by the creaking of the bedroom door. A small figure, clutching a pillow and
rubbing sleepy eyes, called out, "Daddy!"
Everything cto a halt.
Harvey took a deep breath, looking down at Eloise from his elevated position. Eloise's voice was shaky, "Harvey,
please, hold her."
Harvey looked at her. His gaze was intense, and his Adam's apple was bobbing as he swallowed hard. He put on
a bathrobe, got off the bed, and picked up their daughter, Linda, who crawled into his arms.
She had woken up from a dream. She was probably scared, so she was clinging to Harvey's neck tightly.
Harvey comforted her gently, and then turned to Eloise with a hoarse voice, "Go take a shower, or you will feel
sticky."
Eloise's cheeks flushed as she picked up Harvey's shirt, put it on, and walked to the bathroom.
In the dim master bedroom, Linda hummed softly in her father's arms.
Harvey picked up a fairy tale book from the bedside table and read to her. His voice was soft and husky, and
Linda slowly calmed down.
When Eloise cout of the bathroom, she saw this scene and her heart softened. She realized her
reconciliation with Harvey was largely because of Linda.
For Linda, Harvey had made many sacrifices. In the past, it would have been almost impossible to get him to
stop.
She sat on the edge of the bed, stroking Linda's small head, whispering, "Does she always wake up at night?"

afraid she will always interrupt us at crucial moments?"
Eloise blushed, "Harvey, you know that's not what | meant!"
Harvey continued to gaze at her. After her shower, her skin was still red from their interrupted lovemaking,
exuding a faint scent of desire. He wanted to continue, but...
Eloise guessed his thoughts and whispered, "Sother time."
Harvey smiled, "Chere, letgive you a kiss."
Eloise leaned in and he kissed her gently. The kiss was tender, free of lust. He didn't let her go, pulling her into
his arms on the other side of the bed. He pulled the covers over them and turned off the light in the bedroom.
Eloise lay in his arms, silent.
He comforted her softly, "It will be better when she's older."
Eloise nodded slightly. Then she protested again, "That's not what | meant!"
In the darkness, Harvey stroked her lips. His voice was husky, "Eloise, I'm not satisfied. | know you're not either.”
They were both in their prime, so the interruption would be frustrating for both of them. However, this kind of
dissatisfaction caused by their child was also somewhat sweet.
Eloise blushed at his words and couldn't help but retort, "You are such a pervert."
He was a gentleman on the outside, but a hot-blooded man inside.
Harvey laughed softly. He whispered in her ear, "Don't you like it, Eloise? | know you like it."
Eloise refused to say more. She pressed against his chest, listening to the thumping of his heart, and gradually
drifted off to sleep.
When she woke up in the morning, Harvey's handsface was right in front of her.
"Awake?" He gently touched her tender cheek, "Linda will wake up in half an hour. Shall we go to the bathroom?"
Eloise felt weak in the knees. She wanted him, so she didn't resist.
After a round of sex, Harvey still wasn't satisfied. He held her waist and murmured, "After dropping off Linda,
cto my office, okay?"
Eloise hesitated. She shook her head, "I want to go see my mom."
Michelle had been discharged from the hospital and was living in the sapartment building, where there were
memories of Angus.
Harvey tried to persuade her, "We'll pick up Linda and go to dinner together tonight."
Eloise agreed after sthought. She leaned on his shoulder, whispering to him not to mess around. Harvey
knew he had gone too far, so he nodded and gently helped her get dressed and take a shower.
When Linda woke up, he was the one who took care of her. Happy and dressed in a little floral dress, she brushed
her brown curls until they were fluffy. She curiously asked, "Why is mommy still sleeping?"
Harvey, looking sharp in his suit and tie, carried Linda downstairs, replying, "Mommy's tired."
Linda hugged Harvey's neck. Her big, bright eyes stared at Harvey, "Why aren't you tired, Daddy?"
Harvey pinched Linda's cheek, "You'll understand when you grow up." He believed in educating his child
honestly; he could avoid questions, but never make up stories.
Linda didn't quite understand. She clenched her little fist and decided to ask Luca. Harvey took Linda downstairs.
The housemaid glanced upstairs and asked with a smile, "Has ma'am not woken up yet?"
After settling Linda in her chair and placing her breakfast in front of her, Harvey replied, "She is feeling a bit
unwell. I'll take her to the hospital after dropping off Linda."
The housemaid, an experienced woman, quickly understood.
Harvey took a sip of coffee. It was unsweetened, but he found a hint of sweetness in it.
Linda was also very happy. When she woke up in the morning, she was in Daddy's arms, and so was Mommy.
However, it seemed like Mommy had been crying. Her eyes were swollen, and there were traces of tears at the
corners. This must be what Daddy meant by "feeling unwell."
Linda sensed that Daddy was particularly gentle with Mommy. The way he looked at Mommy was different from
the way he looked at others, just like the way Luca looked at a plate of BBQ ribs.
Linda couldn't help but say, "Daddy, you really like Mommy, don't you?"
Harvey's heart softened. He truly adored this intelligent little girl Eloise had given birth to.
He ruffled her brown curls and smiled gently, "Yes, Mommy and Linda are the same. You both have brown hair
and soft skin."
Linda was overjoyed. She was so happy that she started to eat her breakfast. After a moment, she looked up and
stammered, "Uncle Brett's hair is also brown when he didn't dye it, and his skin is fair... Dad, do you like him
too?"

Linda mumbled to herself, "But Aunt Orlena likes him! Dad, does everyone in your family have a thing for people
with brown hair?"
Harvey felt a headache coming on. Linda's IQ was an impressive 176, pure genius level. He wondered, what kind
of young man would be worthy of his beloved girl in the future?
After breakfast, he dropped Linda off at school and cback to pick up Eloise.
Eloise was a bit tired, but she got up anyway. She felt that she had been too indulgent last night, and perhaps
the housekeepers had heard the commotion upstairs. She was wary of gossip.
Harvey was very patient.
While she was getting dressed and freshened up, he was downstairs, dealing with swork on his phone.
Everest Technologies was expanding rapidly, so he was usually too busy. He didn't have much tto spend with
Eloise. Besides, Linda was at hat night, so he hoped Eloise could keep him company during the day. Even if
they couldn't make out all the time, it still satisfied him just to be able to see her when he looked up from his
work.
Harvey thought to himself, "This must be what being in love feels like!" He was really enjoying these feelings.
Eloise spent the afternoon in his CEO lounge, going over sof Linda's medical records. Harvey was too busy,
and Eloise had more free time, so she was willing to help him out a bit.
The large office was quiet and peaceful.
Eloise flipped to a page and asked Harvey, "Linda has had two blood transfusions this year?"
Harvey beckoned her over, and Eloise brought the medical records over to him. Harvey looked at the page for a
long time, then said softly, “Linda has a clotting disorder and is AB-negative. It's inevitable that kids get bumps
and bruises at daycare. Aside from the AB-negative blood in the blood bank, | have the numbers of the other four
AB-negative people in the city. Eloise... don't worry too much!"
He and Linda were direct relatives, so he couldn't donate his blood to her. Otherwise, it would be much better!
Eloise felt sorry for Linda, but knowing that Harvey was planning for her comforted her. She entered the numbers
of the four AB-negative people into her phone.
Harvey watched her silently.
Eloise gave him a smile. "What's wrong?"
Harvey lightly touched her cheek. His voice suddenly bechusky. "We made
love so many times already. When will you givea title?"
