Chapter 492 On the Brink of a Great War

“Willow has it hard. She’s only been the CEO for a few months and now the entire Southlake

Corporation has been reduced to rubble.”

“They used to be so arrogant back when we tried to seek cooperation with their company. They didn’t

even take us seriously! Well, she has nothing left now!”

regret your decision back then?” Marilyn taunted.

However, Marilyn didn’t dare to go overboard. She knew how formidable Caspian was.

Willow was a little surprised. The Stewarts were mocking her the moment they heard the bad

news.

“So what if Southlake Corporation has been reduced to rubble? What gave you the right to

exist.

“I even have a strategically located villa at Southlake City. No matter how bad it gets, I’m still better off

than the Stewarts!” Willow exclaimed indignantly.

Everyone fell silent upon hearing her words. Willow was right. She still had the branch office in Dhord

City that was worth hundreds of billions.

She was still the richest person in the entire Southlake City!

“What’s there for you to gloat about? For all we know, even your properties in Dhord City have been

ruined. Your villa might’ve been blown apart by the enemies too!” Richard sneered.

“How malicious could you be? Do you think the Hudsons‘ properties won’t be destroyed?” Willow

retaliated.

“I’m going to rebuild Southlake Corporation immediately when the war ends. I don’t understand what’s

there for you to gloat about!” she exclaimed.

Willow’s words shut their mouths again. After all, she was right. She was fully capable of rebuilding the

company.

She had billions in fortune. She still had her funds even if the building was gone.

Unable to retaliate further, the rest of them fell silent.

Meanwhile, a few troops had entered Southlake City to prepare for the battle ahead.

The Champion of the Central Plains, Dax, had received Balthazar’s orders to deploy a million soldiers

to the south.

Astronia’s and Vadesia’s troops were still a great distance away from Diatoran. They had to cross the

sea to arrive.

There was no way Robert and Viktor could reach in such a short amount of time.

This gave Caspian ample amount of time to prepare.

Astronia’s and Vadesia’s use of heavy weapons received opposition from the International Council,

which they paid no heed to. They were determined to wage war against Diatoran.



The two countries had long since sought to claim Diatoran’s land. They only lacked a reasonable

excuse to do so.

once they’re closer to us,” Caspian nodded as he replied.

“Alright, I’ll leave the arrangements to you. Make sure to communicate efficiently. The most crucial

thing in war is to ensure the messages are delivered timely.

“Only by knowing the enemy’s movements can we adapt accordingly,” Caspian said.

“Yes, sir!” Benjamin nodded as he prepared to issue commands.

He didn’t dare to delay as he ordered John to retreat with the naval troops. They only left behind some

submarines and some underwater weapons.

John did not dare to disobey the order as he promptly executed the commands.
