Brittany felt an unfamiliar tightness in her throat and, on impulse, embraced Yuri, whispering, “Dad.”
She had longed for a father’s love, something she had never received. Robert Dustin had always treated her with
disdain, like she was nothing!
But Yuri, he truly saw her as his daughter!
Hearing that tender ‘Dad,’ Yuri was overjoyed, nodding emphatically. “Good girl.”
It should have been a touching father-daughter moment, but to Leila, it was an eyesore. She struggled to contain
herself and finally approached, forcing a smile, “Yuri.”
Brittany stepped back from Yuri’s embrace, wiping away a tear. “Madam.”
She could feel Leila’s dislike and after tonight's , their fragile relationship was on even thinner ice.

Yuri hadn't expected Leila to cover, and his eyes flickered coldly. “What brings you here?”
“Will Bri be staying the night? I'll have the servants prepare a room,” Leila offered with strained cheerfulness.
“Bri, you should head back now,” Yuri suggested.
After Brittany left, Yuri’s gaze turned back to Leila. “Everything | said tonight was in earnest. My entire estate will
go to her.”

“What about Holden and Saskia?” Leila clenched her fists. “They've been part of the Lynette family for years.
How can you leave them with nothing?”
“Bri was not withsince her childhood. | have nothing else to give,” Yuri declared, feeling Leila was
overstepping her bounds. “Don’t worry, what's yours will not be affected.”
With that, he left Leila standing there, biting her lip in frustration.
Yuri had no interest in her. She had adopted two children, hoping they would help her get evén. But now, with
