Chapter 489

Brittany Dustin had been missing for three days now.

Isaac Salter had scoured the entire Imperial City and repeatedly checked the hospital’s surveillance footage

countless times. Finally, he spotted Brittany’s last movements on a crossroad’s camera.

She had gotten into a car, Lionel Chester’s car. But that car had been stolen on the day Brittany disappeared.

Isaac was convinced that Lionel had conned him. He immediately gave the orders, and the Chester family found

themselves in deep shit.

Lionel was struggling to manage the company and find Brittany at the same time.

The Chester family was in chaos, and Isaac deliberately fanned the flames by drawing media attention.

Brittany cared about the Chester family so much, Even if she had left, seeing them in trouble because of her, she

would surely come back.

Isaac comforted himself with that thought.

A week passed like this.

He was still waiting for the Chester family to cave or for some news from Brittany, but instead, he got a call from

the police.

A storm suddenly hit out of nowhere

Dark waves rolled and crashed, and the beach was littered with police tape, cops swarming the area.

Isaac rushed over, and a cop in charge approached him.

“Mr. Salter, we ve done a DNA match. It’s confirmed to be Brittany”

Raindrops fell on his face. Isaac’s expression was grim. He grabbed the cop’s collar as if ready to rip his lace off.

“Who said that’s her? Shut your mouth

The cop nearly fell over from the shove

Others quickly stepped in, holding Isaac back and rescuing the cop, “Mr. Salter, please, be respectful”

Behind him, loud sobbing echoed

Hannah Chester never dreamed that the next news of Brittany would come from the police.

The Chester family had all arrived, their parents eyes red and swollen. They negotiated with the police to take

Brittany away

“Wait

Isaac stopped them, refusing to let her go, “She’s my wife. She should come with me.”

Hannah glared at him; her eyes were red as she asked, “Your wife?”

Isaac, look at what you’ve done. What right do you have to stop us from taking her!”

Lionel, supporting Hannah, gave Isaac a cold look

The past week’s strife with Isaac had completely shattered Lionel’s pride. His relationship with Isaac was now

irreparably damaged.

“Isaac, you dont care about her, but we do. For the sake of her once true feelings for you, let us handle this.”

Isaac was speechless.

“Let’s go.”

The Chester family left. Brittany, who was fished out of the sea, lay quietly on the stretcher, covered in a white

sheet.

The bodyguards lifted the stretcher, and as they passed Isaac, suddenly, a hand slid off from the stretcher.

On the finger was a ring he had bought

Isaac’s breath hitched. He clutched his chest as a loud noise rang in his ears, as if the world was ending. A taste of

blood surged in his throat.

‘Mr. Salter!”

Nathan Jarvis watched as Isaac collapsed. A large amount of fresh blood spurted from his mouth. His eyes were

tightly shut, completely unconscious

Hannah heard the scream, feeling a strange satisfaction.

Brittany was dead.

Isaac, as the main culprit, deserved to be punished!

Isaac was rushed to the ER, and Grace Salter rushed over as soon as she heard it. Upon hearing the news of

Brittany’s death, her vision blurred, and she almost fainted.

“Grandma, you need to stay calm,”

Joie had a satisfied look in her eyes. Leda really was decisive. Brittany could finally piss off out of her life!

Grace’s mind was filled with images of Brittany. Tears welled up in her eyes.

After more than three hours of rescue, Isaac was transferred to the VIP ward.

Before Grace could even breathe a sigh of relief, Nathan received a phone call, his face deathly pale,

“Nathan, what’s wrong?” Grace asked.

Nathan looked pale, regardless of the fact that he hadn’t hung up the phone yet. He said, “Someone posted a video

online…
