Chapter 244 The Rival in Love Arrives Landon looked a bit embarrassed, and Sabrina quickly jumped in to speak. "No, it's not like that. I don't spend that much money!" Seeing Sabrina's flustered attempt to explain, Landon chuckled. "Mr. Lewis, you don't need to worry. Even though I'm a cop, my family has a business. I've never touched the family annuity in all these years of working. I probably couldn't spend it all if I tried!" Ralph snorted. He had cprepared, having done his homework. The Wells family consisted of just a brother and sister, both in public service, not business. Yet their wealth was substantial because the Wells family owned rare metal mines.

When Ryan discovered this, he was surprised and sent Ralph to dig deeper into the Wells family's background.

Sabrina's eyes widened. "Landon, are you rich?" Landon smiled and tossed his wallet to Sabrina.

"There are two cards in there. One is my salary card, and the other is the family annuity card. The PIN for both is four sevens. Check the balance if you want. I don't even know how much is in there!" Sabrina, phone in hand, was about to check. Ralph wanted to stop her but didn't. He watched as she happily checked the balance. The salary card had about twenty thousand dollars.

Even so, Sabrina was thrilled. Then she picked up the other card, which turned out to be a black card.

"Landon, I have one of these too!" She pulled out her own black card. Landon smiled, his eyes full of affection as he watched her through the rearview mirror. Sabrina checked the balance, and the result was shocking.

"Ralph, can you look at this? I can't even count the zeros." Sabrina handed her phone to Ralph. He glanced at it and then pushed it back to her.

"No matter how much it is, it's not yours. Give it back to him." Ralph's tone was stern, and Sabrina obediently returned the card to Landon.

Landon took it and handed the salary card to Sabrina. "You're learning about investments from Ms. Bennett, right? Use the money on this card to practice." Sabrina's eyes lit up. She took the card with a big smile and glanced cautiously at Ralph. "Landon, are you sure? What if I lose it all?" Landon laughed. "If you make money, it's your spending money. If you lose it, no big deal. As long as you're happy." Landon just wanted to spoil her. Sabrina was overjoyed. Ralph ruffled her hair, making her giggle and hug him. Sabrina said, "Ralph, I'm so happy!" Ralph sighed but said nothing, seeing how happy Sabrina was. When they arrived at the private restaurant, Sabrina's eyes sparkled. "Landon, how did you know I wanted to eat Kismet's cooking? I've missed it so much while I was away!" Landon got out of the car, helped Sabrina out, and looked at Ralph. "Sabrina used to live here. Ms. Bennett thought you might like it too, given your interest in traditional architecture." Ralph didn't respond but took in the surroundings before heading to the entrance of Serenity Manor. Landon followed with Sabrina's luggage.

Allison had prepared a courtyard for Sabrina and Ralph. Standing in the courtyard, Ralph admired Serenity Manor. "It's well-maintained. I'll take a look tomorrow and give you ssuggestions for improvements." Allison nodded, pleased. "That would be great. You're a master architect. It's an honor to get your advice!" Ralph rolled his eyes at Allison and held out his hand. "Con, showaround." Allison laughed, took his hand, and they walked off, leaving Landon stunned. "Ms. Bennett seems to know Ralph well?" Sabrina nodded. "Ralph is Allison's senior." Landon said, "Senior?" Landon added, "I remember Ralph is an architect, so..." Sabrina explained, "Allison didn't get her PhD in architecture because she found it too troublesome. But she participated in design competitions and won a gold medal! Ralph was a judge and liked her work so much that he convinced her to study under Jeremy Fairfax." Jeremy Fairfax? The nsounded familiar to Landon, but he couldn't place it.

But the immediate priority was to inform Alexander, so he discreetly sent a message. Landon: [Alexander, your rival is here, and they're holding hands!] Alexander was on a business trip and knew Sabrina was back, so he wasn't worried with Landon picking her up. But now, hearing about a rival holding hands with Allison, he couldn't sit still. He compressed a day's work into three hours and headed straight to the airport.

Meanwhile, Allison showed Ralph around Serenity Manor, and he gave many suggestions.

"Kismet, this is the senior I told you about, from abroad!" Allison said.

Kismet asked, "The one who builds houses?" Allison laughed. To Kismet, anyone in architecture was just a house builder.

"Yes, Kismet, I'm the one who builds houses. I've heard about your m amazing cooking, and now I finally get to try it!" Ralph said. Kismet beamed, while Sabrina was tightly holding Elsa's hand.

Elsa said, "Sabrina, I missed you so much!"

Sabrina adored Elsa, who was like a | big kid, while Sabrina was a real kid. They sat at the kitchen door, t sheaking bites of food, making Kismet laugh and shake her head.

"Look at you two, what a sight!" Elsa didn't care and laughed. "You don't get it. It tastes better this way!" Sabrina nodded enthusiastically. Kismet smiled at them, not angry at all. Soon, Allison and Cleo joined in, sneaking bites too.

Hunter, the cook, watched happily, while Ralph stood nearby, smiling warmly.
