obviously turned her attention to Jason after failing to hook him.
Allison hadn’t expected him to have seen it all. Worried he might confront Dr. Dylan, she quickly
explained, “Dr. Dylan and I broke up. We just ran into each other; he has a girlfriend now.”
“Hmph.” Lucian didn’t believe a word she said. His gaze fell on her pale wrist, where a faint scar was
visible.
A memory flashed across his mind: her suddenly standing in front of him, getting this scar
Slowly, he let go of her hand.
His heart was filled with an indescribable feeling.

His face was hidden in the shadows.
He looked at her clear and mocking eyes, remaining silent for a moment. “Allison, I always thought you
weren’t as bad as my investigation suggested”
Allison’s eyelashes fluttered.
He seemed to sigh. It appeared that he was somewhat disappointed.
