Agent A's face was in shifting shades of discomfort. "Don't pushtoo far," he hissed. "Not only did you poison me, aiming to

cripplefor life, but now you're trying to smear my good name. Are you hell-bent on wipingout?"

Aurelia let out a mocking chuckle. "Oh, cut the act. Sure, you've had the work done to look like Raines, but becoming him is

another story. It's no walk in the park to mimic a man's every mannerism and habit."

At the corner of his mouth, a spasm flickered across Anderson, a last-ditch struggle for survival.

"What proof do you have that I'm not Raines?" he demanded.

Aurelia's gaze turned ice-cold. "Proof? | don't need proof. | say you're not him, and that's that. In the Stirling family, my word is

law."

Agent A flared his anger. "| demand to see the elders of the Stirling family. Christmas is just around the corner, and they would

cto check on me. You can't just play god here."

"I'm here to offer you a chance at redemption," Aurelia said. "Spill where Raines is held captive, and I'll hand you the antidote."

Aware he could no longer bluff his way through, Agent A retorted, "Do you think I'm a fool? If | spill the beans, do you think I'd be

left breathing?"

"Only by coming clean can you hope to survive. Keep silent, and you're as good as dead. You have a chance to turn over a new

leaf. Help us rescue Raines, and you get the antidote, plus protection."

"You think I'd trust you?" Agent A scoffed.

"You've got no other choice but to trust me. The AK Group won't cfor you. They know when to cut their losses."

Agent A gritted his teeth. "I don't know where Raines is. Only the boss knows."

"Then, you're of no use. Might as well wait for the reaper here," Aurelia stated coldly before turning to leave.

A sudden fear gripped Agent A. "Wait, givestto think."

"I'll cback later," Aurelia said, exiting the room.

Meanwhile, at the Stirling Mansion, William and Nova had arrived for the Christmas

festivities.

Nova eyed the cookies on the coffee table, saliva dripping from her mouth. She crawled over, reaching out her chubby little hand

to snatch a sugar cookie.

William was quick to intervene. "Oops, Nova. You're still a little sprout. You can't have cookies yet. Here's your teething ring."

He handed her a soft and chewy ring, and Nova grabbed it with less enthusiasm.

Mira laughed from the sidelines. She had been just as greedy as a kid, and it looked like Nova was a chip off the old block. A future

foodie in the making.

"Welcto the foodie club, Nova," Mira exclaimed with a grin. "When you grow up, I'll take you to all the best spots."

Nova seemed to understand, clapping her little hands with glee. "Cookie! Eggie! Meatie!" Mira planted kisses on her rosy cheeks.

There was no doubt that this little one was a food lover through and through.

William cover with a jar of puree. "Alright, no more drooling. Let's have sof this. Look at you, still too few teeth for meat.

Later, I'll mash up segg yolk for you."

Though only four himself, he was the picture of a caring big brother, doting over his little sister like no other.

Nova eagerly sucked on the puree, "Brother, sweet."

"Tasty, huh?" William asked, adoringly stroking her head. His little sister was just too adorable.

"Yummy," Nova affirmed, nodding vigorously before taking another slurp.

Watching them, Mira's mouth watered. She reached out to William, "Hand over a pouch of that puree. | want stoo."

Nina rolled her eyes. "That's baby food, Mira. You're way too old for that."

"I'm only six, not old at all," Mira declared earnestly, as if that settled the matter.
