"Will Leopold die?" Megan asked with panic in her voice.
Jewel shrugged nonchalantly. "Who knows? Odds are not in his favor, though."
Megan was worried. "What's the boss' next move? Aurelia must die. She's got evidence that could tie me to the AK Group. If the Stirling family gets wind of it, they'll kill me to let off steam."
"Don't sweat it," Jewel replied coolly. "Aurelia's a goner. The boss won't let her off the hook. We just sit tight and wait for the orders."
Megan couldn't settle her nerves. She had clawed her way up to where she was but was about to be a widow.

The last thing she wanted was to be a widow! Back in her room, Aurelia saw the long faces of William and Skyler. They sat there, faces propped in their hands, sighing heavily.
Upon seeing her, Skyler fidgeted and murmured, "Aurelia, | want to see... see Leopold." Aurelia offered a comforting smile. "Don't worry. Leopold's fine. If it were a poison the hospital couldn't handle, they'd have called you to help whip up an antidote." "Was it Geoffrey?" Skyler asked, his voice trembling. "Why... why would he hurt Leopold?"
She stroked his hair gently. "Because Leopold wanted to protect you, keeping you out of Geoffrey's grip. He'll come after me next, forcing you back to Eastwood Heights and under his thumb again. You two are brothers, but you live in the light while he skulks in the shadows, hiding behind a mask. His heart's full of resentment, craving your place in the sun, leaving you as nothing but a shadow." Skyler shivered. "I don't want to be a shadow." Geoffrey would lock him away, and he could never play outside again. He would never see William, Aurelia, or Leopold again.
"We won't let him win," Aurelia reassured him, her arm around his shoulder. "And you mustn't let him have his way, either. Together, we'll beat him and make sure he gets what he deserves."
"Yeah." Skyler nodded fiercely. He was determined to take down Geoffrey to protect those he loved.
"Aunt Tanya is a bad person, always aiding Geoffrey. She's up to something," Skyler muttered.
"Megan's in cahoots with them," William added.
Aurelia's voice was firm. "We must be on guard, but let's not tip our hand. Our top priority is to catch Geoffrey.
Open enemies are easy to dodge, but the hidden ones are the deadliest." "Aurelia," Skyler sniffled, "I know all about Geoffrey's poisons. I'll make all the antidotes so he can't touch us again." Aurelia's eyes lit up. "That's brilliant! Once we're home, we'll set up Sky-Will Studio and take down the baddies to uphold justice." Skyler and William clapped their hands, visibly lifted from their gloom.
That's just how kids are. Their feelings change as quickly and unpredictably as the wind.

"Off you go, but stay sharp and in the bodyguards" sight," she instructed.
"Mommy, we'll be fine. We're smart cookies," William assured her.
Hand in hand, William and Skyler trotted off to the home theater, where they'd munch on popcorn and watch the latest Superman blockbuster.
Once the boys were out of sight, Aurelia picked up a lifelike mask and slipped it on, transforming her appearance before quietly slipping out of the room.
Meanwhile, Leopold lounged on the third-floor deck, sipping champagne, eavesdropping on the buzz about his alleged poisoning.
Aurelia slid into the seat beside him and whispered, "Enjoying the rumors about yourself?" His lips curled into a wicked grin as he replied, "It's been a while since I've had the luxury of relaxation."
