Chapter 657 The Boastful Shawn
When all the evidence was laid out in front of Dennis, Sebastian crushed Dennis's premeditated plan to get out
of prison. "You know you'll be safe in prison for a few years. When you reach your eighties, you'll be considered
an elderly inmate, and your punishment will be reduced. If you're old and sick, unable to take care of yourself,
and no longer a threat, you can apply for parole."
By then, Jeffrey would be there, and the private assets they had hidden would still be there. The children would
be there too! What Dennis would lose was just a few years in prison, which was insignificant compared to what
he would gain.
When Sebastian presented the money laundering evidence related to the Rossi family, Dennis glanced at it
indifferently, showing no reaction. When Sebastian laid everything out, he said, "The amount of money
laundering involved is enormous, combined with your other crimes, it's enough to sentence you to death."
When Dennis saw the remaining evidence, he looked at Sebastian, a young man in his late twenties, realizing he
had underestimated him.
"Sebastian, | heard you got married recently."
"Yes, | married Molly."
Dennis thought back to many years ago, to the Molly who stood there crying up at him, leaving a deep
impression! "What about Jeffrey?"
"Dead."
In recent days, Dennis's lawyer had visited him several times without mentioning Jeffrey, making Dennis uneasy.
Unexpectedly, a few days later, he was interrogated by Sebastian again.
Dennis's eyes widened, clouded with a murky hue, and he said, "Since you have conclusive evidence, you could
just submit it to convict me. But you cto seebecause you want to hearconfess to what happened
back then."

Sebastian, sitting across from Dennis, admitted without hiding, "That's right." "I want to see Shawn."
When Sebastian talked to Patrick, they had different focuses. Sebastian insisted on making the case of Molly's
murder public, while Patrick was more concerned about avenging his family.
"I'll go hand talk to Shawn."
After returning home, Patrick called Shawn to the study and explained the situation. Shawn asked, "Is the death
penalty certain?"
Patrick nodded, "The evidence Sebastian has can get him sentenced to death."
"Then let's meet. What about the baby girl?" Shawn asked Patrick.
"Given away."
Shawn agreed to the meeting. On the day he went to see Dennis, he turned back after stepping out the door,
picked up Theodore, and said, "Let's go."
Vera, getting ready for school in the morning, saw Theodore being carried, "Dad, you're going to prison, why are
you taking Theodore?"
Shawn: "I heard Dennis is going to be sentenced to death. I'm taking my cutest grandson to make him jealous, to
make him envious of me."
At the unfamiliar prison, Shawn sat holding Theodore, waiting for Dennis.
Theodore curiously looked around and then saw Patrick standing nearby.
Sebastian looked at Theodore and asked Patrick, "Patrick, why did Shawn bring Theodore?"
"To show off and make Dennis jealous."
Sebastian fell into the ssilence as Patrick had that morning.
After a while, Dennis was brought out, and his handcuffs were removed only after he sat down.
After not seeing each other for a long time, the two men, who were once the sage, now found themselves in
completely different situations.
Shawn held his chubby grandson, with a cane leaning beside him, and his two excellent children behind him.
Dennis, on the other hand, was in a much more miserable state.
Dennis picked up the phone, and Shawn did the same, putting it to his ear. Theodore, seeing the phone, reached
out his little hand to grab it.
"Theodore, don't make noise, I'm making a call." Shawn lifted Theodore to let Dennis see his cute grandson,
"This is Patrick and Vera's child. He's the clingiest toat home. He even needsto hold him to sleep at
night. When my grandson cries, he calls for me."
Patrick and Sebastian exchanged a glance but said nothing.
Theodore was having a great tplaying.
Dennis looked at Theodore, and it was impossible not to feel envious.
"My son-in-law Sebastian will soon be a father, too. Our family is about to welcanother child."
Patrick understood Shawn's personality. He calmly glanced at Sebastian, nodding to let him accept such a father.
Sebastian quickly accepted it because Shawn and Molly had an inexplicable similarity. Shawn asked Dennis,
"Why did you commit crimes? You should have understood these principles long ago." Everyone thought Shawn
was getting serious, but the next second, he said, "Look at my life now, I'm too happy.
Cindy is diligent and capable, a great homemaker. Vera bringsdelicious food after school every day and
teachesfun things. Molly stays up late to play games with me. Susan is the cutest; just looking at her makes
don't feel lonely at all."
"Theodore, did you understand what | said?" Shawn immediately lifted Theodore, letting the cute Theodore be
seen by Dennis on purpose.
Shawn even gave Theodore a kiss.
Theodore pouted, unhappy about being kissed, as his family all loved to kiss him.
Dennis looked at Theodore, thinking of his own daughter, wondering if she was like him.
Shawn kissed Theodore again, making Theodore unhappy.
Patrick suddenly stood up straight, watching Theodore cry, and Theodore's lips seemed to form the word
"Daddy."
Theodore pouted, about to cry the next second.
Patrick's Adam's apple bobbed, "Theodore called me."
Patrick understood how Vera felt when she heard Theodore call her "Mommy" last time. No wonder Wesley got
beaten so badly. He walked behind Shawn, bent down, and took Theodore into his arms. He pressed Theodore's
face against his cheek, "Theodore, callagain."
Patrick held Theodore tightly, afraid of hurting him if he squeezed too hard, but also afraid of dropping him if he
held too loosely.
Shawn looked at Dennis, who hadn't said a word the whole time, having reached the point of giving up.
Shawn, having shown off enough, achieved his goal, and said to Patrick and Sebastian, "You two go out, I'll sit
alone for a while."
The two went outside, and Patrick sat in the car, placing Theodore on the steering wheel. Looking at his chubby
little face, he picked Theodore up again, holding him close to his heart, "My son can callDaddy now."
