Thalia knew that Beatrice always had ulterior motives whenever she requested to speak privately, and she was not in the mood to appreciate the flowers as a result.
"May I ask what this is about? If it's not urgent, I'll have to continue practicing my musical notation," she acted as if she were occupied with certain important tasks in the hopes that the old lady would keep the conversation brief or not bother her at all.
"Why don't you return to Molomia if you want to focus on your studies? You have no reason to be staying so long here," Beatrice got straight to the point and was prepared to play the role of the bad person to evict Thalia from their house. No matter how accommodating Melody was, seeing another woman try to get close to Lucas was never going to sit well with her.
Thalia, however, feigned ignorance. "What do you mean by that? I returned to the country to find an internship with a local orchestra. I've already applied for leave with the school. Are you saying that you don't wantto stay here? I can leave right now if that's what you want!" Her large eyes flooded with tears, projecting an aggrieved look, but Beatrice was not swayed by her act.
