no point in hiding any longer, Leon summoned the courage to confess the truth.
“What a joke! You’re a divorced good–for–nothing and an orphan with nothing to your name. Who are
you to be Iris’s man?” Gilbert questioned angrily.
“I know she’s way out of my league and that I’m not a compatible match for her right now, but I’m going
to work hard,” Leon said hesitantly.
