Kent let out a silent sigh, not quite sure how to feel.

He was supposed to be an assistant, but here he was, fussing like a matchmaker.

Remembering Sophia's words from the night before, he didn't dare to meddle anymore.

Besides, Brandon seemed cool as a cucumber, and him stepping back might just be a blessing in disguise.

After putting down the design proposal, Brandon picked up another report and casually instructed Kent through the open door,

"Keep an eye on the Zenithan-style resort project from now on."

"Huh?" Kent was caught off guard.

Although Daniel and Patricia were officially in charge of the project, Brandon had always been the one watching over it like a hawk,

never delegating.

"The project has been submitted for approval and is expected to start soon. Wind Tourism will still be the face of it," Brandon

explained without looking up, "Make sure the construction goes smoothly, no hiccups."

Wind Tourism was another company set up by Daniel and Patricia, and the Zenithan-style resort project was one of their ventures.

Brandon was also keen on temporarily using the new company's nto launch the resort as a fresh brand, hence Wind Tourism

was fronting it, but the real power of decision lay with him.

Now that the design was finalized and all the paperwork sorted, it was just a matter of kicking off construction, so it made sense

for Brandon to pass the baton to him at this stage.

Kent had thought that since it was Sophia's baby, Brandon would keep a tighter grip on it, but he guessed wrong.

"Problem?"

Not getting a response from Kent, Brandon glanced up with a cool look.

Kent immediately stood at attention and replied in a mild manner, "No, sir."

Adding quickly, "I'll keep a close watch, Mr. Crawley. You can count on me."

Brandon nodded, "Alright, get to it."

"Will do."

Kent replied and quickly ducked out of the office, carefully closing the door behind him, and couldn't help but let out another sigh

and shake his head in resignation.

With the project in his hands, Kent knew better than to drag his feet. It might be just oversight, but he wasn't about to take it

lightly. He immediately got in touch with Patricia to catch up on the project details.

Patricia and Daniel were also working full steam ahead. They'd started getting the approvals ready as soon as Sophia's initial

design was greenlit. Now, with the blueprint locked in and the approvals sent off, even the groundbreaking date was picked.

When Kent called to check on the project status, Patricia was all enthusiasm and promptly sent all the relevant materials his way.

"By the way, I'm planning to grab a meal with the designer. You should come," Patricia suggested over the phone, "We can iron out

any questions face to face."

Even though the design was set, Patricia had never had the chance to meet the designer in person. All communication had been

through Don.

Patricia wanted the face-to-face mainly to ease future collaboration and also because she was keen on getting to know the talent

behind the design she was so fond of.

Kent vaguely remembered it was all through Don and wasn't sure if Patricia knew the designer was Sophia. He didn't want to stick

his nose where it wasn't wanted, so he just replied cheerily, "Sure, letknow the tand place."

"Will do."

After hanging up, Patricia immediately called Don.

"lI want to have dinner with the designer tonight, let her know."

She dove right in, not even asking if the designer was available, her voice full of expectation.

Don chuckled.

"The designer's not feeling well, took a leave," Don replied with a polite laugh, "Let's do it another twhen she's available."

Patricia frowned, "When will she be free?"

"I'll have to check with her on that; she's been off sick these days."

"How about next week? I'll call you again."

"That works," Don replied nonchalantly to Patricia's assertiveness, "Givea ring then."

After exchanging a few more pleasantries, they ended the call.

The office settled back into silence.

Don, looking at the design on his desk and recalling Patricia's lofty tone, suddenly thought of Sophia and instinctively glanced over

at her office across the way.

Her office door was open, revealing the emptiness inside.

Don wasn't sure how Sophia was doing, whether her illness was serious. He remembered her voice sounding weak on the phone.

Knowing she lived alone, he decided to check in on her and sent a Whatmessage, [You alright?]

No reply ceven after half an hour.

Worried, Don tried calling Sophia, but again, no answer.

Unable to stay put, Don stood up and asked Cindy in the outer office, "Cindy, you know where Director Yearwood lives, right?"
