Chapter 251 Morning Light and Tennis Lessons

That night, Lucas called Andrew and asked him to attend the business meeting on his behalf the next day.

“Okay.” Woken in the middle of the night, Andrew was still half-asleep. By the the fully processed the call,

the line had already gone dead.

The next morning, Lucas sat on the living room sofa, a tablet in his hands as he focused on the latest business

updates.

His long fingers slid gently across the screen, pausing now and then as if lost in thought.

Just then, the sound of light footsteps cfrom the stairs. Lucas looked up, his gaze drawn in despite himself.

Sloane was slowly coming down from upstairs, wearing a pale blue dress. The hem of the skirt swayed softly with

each step, like it was carrying the gentle breeze of morning.

Her long hair draped loosely over her shoulders, the ends softly curled, giving her a relaxed and effortless look.

Sunlight spilled across her figure, outlining her in a faint glow, casting her in a soft haze of light and shadow-so

beautiful it was almost breathless.

Lucas’s gaze lingered on her for a moment, his heartbeat quickening without warning. He quickly looked away,

returning to his tablet in an effort to hide that fleeting moment of distraction.

“Morning.” Sloane walked over to him, her voice soft and still laced with the drowsiness of just waking up.

“Morning.” Lucas looked up, the corners of his mouth lifting gently. His tone was warm. “Did you sleep well last

night?”

“Mhm. The lavender diffuser really worked.” Sloane nodded with a smile.

Lucas set the tablet aside and stood up. “Breakfast is ready. Let's head over.”

They walked together toward the dining area, where Madam Tessa had already arranged breakfast in the gazebo

out in the garden.

Flowers and plants surrounded the gazebo, and the morning breeze carried a sweet floral scent. The table was

laid with a beautiful spread-steaming bowls of soup, fresh fruit, golden toasted bread, and a pot of freshly

brewed black tea.

“Where's Madam Tessa?” Sloane asked after sitting down, glancing around when she didn’t see her.

“She said she wanted to sleep in a bit today and won't be joining us for breakfast,” Molly explained, a faint smile

on her lips. In truth, Madam/Tessa had intentionally given them a little talone.

The two of them quietly enjoyed their breakfast, exchanging a few words now and then. The mood was warm

and relaxed. Sunlight bathed them both as the breeze rustled gently around them-it felt like titself had

slowed down to savor the moment.

After finishing, Sloane set down her teacup and looked up at Lucas, a hint of anticipation in her eyes. “Lucas,

don’t you have a tennis court here? Teachhow to play?”

Lucas paused for a second, then nodded. “Of course. There's one right behind the villa. I'll take you

Sloane beamed and stood up, eyes sparkling with excitement. “Then I'll go change. Wait for me!”

Lucas watched her light-footed silho

uette as she left, and a strange warmth welled up in his chest.

Before long, Sloane returned in a white tennis outfit. The short skirt swayed lightly with each step, revealing a

pair of long, slender legs.

Her hair was tied up in a high ponytail, neat and energetic, and her whole presence radiated vitality. She stopped

in front of Lucas, her smile dazzling. “I'm ready. Let's go!”

Lucas’s gaze lingered on her for a moment, his Adam's apple shifting slightly as his heartbeat picked up again.

He quickly looked away, cleared his throat softly, and tried to keep his tone steady. “Alright. Ill start by teaching

you the basic grip.”
