The next morning, Lucas sat on the living room sofa, a tablet in his hands as he focused on the latest business

His long fingers slid gently across the screen, pausing now and then as if lost in thought.
Just then, the sound of light footsteps cfrom the stairs. Lucas looked up, his gaze drawn in despite himself.
Sloane was slowly coming down from upstairs, wearing a pale blue dress. The hem of the skirt swayed softly with
each step, like it was carrying the gentle breeze of morning.
Her long hair draped loosely over her shoulders, the ends softly curled, giving her a relaxed and effortless look.
Sunlight spilled across her figure, outlining her in a faint glow, casting her in a soft haze of light and shadow-so
beautiful it was almost breathless.

“Morning.” Sloane walked over to him, her voice soft and still laced with the drowsiness of just waking up.
“Morning.” Lucas looked up, the corners of his mouth lifting gently. His tone was warm. “Did you sleep well last
night?”
“Mhm. The lavender diffuser really worked.” Sloane nodded with a smile.
Lucas set the tablet aside and stood up. “Breakfast is ready. Let's head over.”
They walked together toward the dining area, where Madam Tessa had already arranged breakfast in the gazebo
out in the garden.
Flowers and plants surrounded the gazebo, and the morning breeze carried a sweet floral scent. The table was
laid with a beautiful spread-steaming bowls of soup, fresh fruit, golden toasted bread, and a pot of freshly
brewed black tea.
“Where's Madam Tessa?” Sloane asked after sitting down, glancing around when she didn’t see her.
“She said she wanted to sleep in a bit today and won't be joining us for breakfast,” Molly explained, a faint smile
on her lips. In truth, Madam/Tessa had intentionally given them a little talone.

and relaxed. Sunlight bathed them both as the breeze rustled gently around them-it felt like titself had

Lucas watched her light-footed silho

Before long, Sloane returned in a white tennis outfit. The short skirt swayed lightly with each step, revealing a
pair of long, slender legs.
Her hair was tied up in a high ponytail, neat and energetic, and her whole presence radiated vitality. She stopped
in front of Lucas, her smile dazzling. “I'm ready. Let's go!”
